Baseball Is Moving On From Last Season's Success NCATAGGIES.COM Thu, Feb 14
EAST GREENSBORO (February 14, 2019) – It is not about what North Carolina A&T accomplished. It is about what N.C. A&T wants to accomplish. That is the attitude for the program as it heads into the 2019 season 2 p.m., Friday, February 15 at War Memorial Stadium against the Niagara Purple Eagles. The two teams will play a 2 p.m. doubleheader on Friday before playing a single game at 3 p.m., on Saturday. The Aggies will start senior right-hander Tim Luth (6-3, 3.98 ERA in 2018) for Game 1 and newcomer and junior college transfer Evan Gates (6-1, 185, JR, RHP) will pitch the second game. Saturday’s starter is All-MEAC performer and RHP Michael Johnson (7-2, 3.82 ERA in 2018). N.C. A&T is coming off a 2018 season that saw them win the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) regular-season Southern Division title, the MEAC tournament and they advanced to the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional where they faced UNC and Purdue. On their way there they broke the school record for wins by going 32-25 and they broke the school record for conference wins with a 16-8 mark. But even with 18 players back from their historic season, even with four players on the preseason all-conference team and even with the fact they have been picked to repeat as Southern Division champions, the Aggies are moving on with life. The MEAC south is going to be absolutely fun to watch. Whoever's pitching holds up best throughout the season from that division is going to most likely win the MEAC tournament.

my question is, are we making any progress with renovations at war memorial stadium? According to the most recent BOT notes on the topic, yes albeit slowly. The bathrooms and showers have been refurbished and brought up to code, for example.

When I was playing, we couldn't even dress in the stadium...we had to come dressed from campus because the Yankees wouldn't allow us access.
Has anything been done with the visitors' lockerroom??
I can't wait for this season to unfurl!!

Sure would be nice if we could get a radio broadcast of the home games or at the very least that the live stats would be timely. The college has a broadcast major so it seems some students might like to get some experience in sports broadcasting. Just a thought.
