Thanks everyone for the great insider information about our track program. Every time I here about our financing struggles to just maintain our programs, I get sad. I wish I had the resources to help more but honest I'm tapped out. But I think if more folks (alums or private citizens) heard our needs they would step up and give. At least I would hope more would give.
I think we (us die-hard Aggies) need to recommit to asking our friends, relatives and other Aggies to give. If you give, that's great.. but if you get someone else to give, that's even better. We've got to expand our giving base. Hey, a proud Aggie is a begging Aggie! And the Temptations said, "I ain't to proud to beg"

We’ve done it in the past when coach Gibbs was there to fund summer school.
Isn’t fundraising the purpose of the AAF?

UF students did it here and got 800K ( we all know UF dose not need the money ) and gave it to the Track Team they don't need it either but it was done . Why can't A&T do the same ? Can't hurt .

Do AAF members get a breakdown of what their donations funded within athletics? Additionally, do they get a vote in how the money should be spent?

Do AAF members get a breakdown of what their donations funded within athletics? Additionally, do they get a vote in how the money should be spent? Very tiny overhead costs by design. We get a breakdown every six months but how the money is spent varies depending on our athletic needs and priorities. And no, it is not a democracy so there's no voting on what or how AAF funds will be spent (that's AD's job) but we are given a heads up and kept up-to-date on all projects. No surprises or hidden conspiracies. We ain't FAMU.

He just needs more funds By the way just want to remind you...today is the perfect day to ask a classmate, frat brother, soro sister or family member to make a donation to AAF.
