Is this correct:
The new 2018 tax law will essentially remove that 80% deduction entirely; any contributions that are linked to the right to purchase season tickets will no longer be considered charitable donations. It’s a very common practice for athletic departments to require donations before alumni are able to purchase season tickets

That is correct, unfortunately. Any donation outside of the March 31 priority window is tax-deductible.

Suggest you check with your tax advisor. You may be able to deduct a percentage.

Will the AAF be sending out donation receipts for all gifts received after March 31st?

Will the AAF be sending out donation receipts for all gifts received after March 31st? Should be coming from University Advancement. You should have gotten emails/letters from them after your 2018 gifts as well.

I received a letter today saying gifts to obtain preferred seating at university athletic events are no longer tax deductible. No mention of giving outside purchase priority dates.
