In my opinion, if Fumbah earns the starting middle linebacker job in spring camp this class definitely gets an A plus grade.
On film, he looks like he might be an upgrade over K. Richardson.

i give our class an A based on the needs we filled. I was happy with the new D-linemen especially.

I dont think you can give a True grade until a few Years from now, all Schools think they have a number 1 Class..

Also, keep in mind that we instantly turned our biggest weakness in 2018 (punt returns) into a strength with the signing of JaMichael Baldwin. That should result in about 50 additional yards of field position each game.

DL Melik Ward 5-11, 265, Tarboro, N.C. Tarboro HS
Why would we recruit a DL that is not even 6 feet tall. Are we still recruiting CIAA Defensive Lineman. I am impress he made 75 tackles but that is in HS. He must be converted to a ILB
I am sorry with him and the fact we never recruited big 6-7 6-8 OL
my grade has gone down to
C minus.

You are a little too height-obsessed, my friend. Sterling Shippy form Alcorn St was listed at 6-1, but was really about 6-0 wearing about 3 pair of socks. But he didn't need those socks to kick our azz in the 2nd half of the Celebration Bowl. And before you say another word... Melik is the nephew of A&T Hall of Famer Maurice Smith. If he's anywhere near as tough as Mo... you got a winner with him in Coach Walthaw's S&C program.

He's not even sized-obsessed; all Trues cares about is height.
According to him, if a lineman is not 7'4 they have no chance to play at this level. lol

One of the finest defensive linemen ever to put on the blue and gold was 5-10 and 250 pound nose guard Akinyele Igunmuyiwanamed, formerly known as Ernest Riddick, played back in the mid 80's earning three consecutive (1984-86) first-team All-MEAC honors. In 1986 he was Sheraton Black College All-American and an NCAA Division I-AA All-American.
Trues, go watch the tape on Ward and you will quickly see why we signed him. He is a beast of a run stopper, extremely quick off the ball, and what my daddy used to call "country cock strong" - plus coming out of Tarboro where all they do is put out top D-1 talent and win state championships every year.

At this point I think Trues is trolling. I will no longer take him serious about football players and size lol
