I hope you are right. My concerns are his quick-twitch muscles. I dont know how game experience can improve that. The keys for the ILB is to not get too deep on the initial read, especially on RPO.... and to be able to extend his arms/hands to shed blockers. The bad angles he had on tape were mostly because he got too deep and caught up in the blocking scrum. No amount of quick-twitch will remedy being out of position due to inexperience. And that's what spring ball is about.

A - Securing OT Jason Ivey, DEs Janorris Robertson from FL and Kyle Stanback from CA, as well as young DTs Melik Ward and Thomas Washington put this class over the hump on potential.
I can't wait to see them go to work.

This class is a solid 87%, for right now. I think it will go to a solid 95% if we can land a transfer DT, able to play right away and compete with the NIU and Presby kids.
I love the DTs and LBs we have but most, besides Fumbah, will need a RS year to be ready in 2020.
On offense, I’m ready for the QB battle to begin and Jalen and King will “Duke” it out. One of those RBs will not RS.

Is anybody surprised that we chose to stand pat with our kicking game? Are you guys comfortable with going into 2019 with just Rogers and Ruiz? Lots of growth there, at least I thought throughout the season. I suspect Coach Washington is going to coach those guys up personally. Our punter is going to also be a pre-season first-team all MEAC.
