From the video I watched, he doesn't really have violent hands like you would want from an offensive lineman that size. www.hudl.com/v/28SALjIt is almost like he is playing patty cakes with the defenders he engages with.

well, everybody went crazy last year when central signed the 4 star rb from oregon but what difference did he make? i know he got injured later in the season, but central already loss a couple games to hbcu's by then. man i'm like a1, sign a bunch more of them big uglies like him and then come talk to me...

I'm not going to take the sour grapes approach. They can offer something we can't: immediate playing time. He seems to be a good get for any hbcu. Provided he follows through with his commitment we'll most likely see him on the field as a freshman and we'll get a firsthand look at what he brings this fall. I can't wait.

I agree. He’s a project of sorts. With good coaching he could good, similar to Parker.

did any of you guys read my "stars" thread, LOL. He was a project to anyone that offered him. He just happens to be a project that a lot of coaches thought they could mold in to a player. 3 stars because of all the offers.
This is a new staff, but NCCU has yet to prove they have an environment(as a program and university) that can take a project and make him a stud. Until that happens, I don't care who they recruit because the recruit will graduate with the same skill level they came in with.

Yea. I just watched this and he is blocking guys my size and they dont get around him but my goodness you would think he would be eating folks alive. Monster right he is a highly rated project probably due to his size and he probably has great speed for a lineman.

With that being said, I hope he dominates everyone but us and goes pro, so recruits see that you can come to an HBCU after being offered by FBS schools and still be successful. We need someone else to step up and start producing regular draft pics besides us.
I'm really not impressed after taking a closer look though. Then I looked at the offers. Two Power 5's and the rest are teams like Kent State, Tulane, and Marshall. If you listened to HBCU Gameday you would think he was being recruited by NC State, Notre Dame and Florida State, but still chose NCCU. But I guess he is a good pickup for them.......I guess???(shrugs shoulders)

I would loved to have seen this discussion if he had committed to NCAT...

You already know what it would've looked like. That's why I set aside the sour grapes. It's unbecoming imo.
