Kingsley Ifedi transfers out from ECU By Stephen Igoe 13 hours ago Redshirt freshman Kingsley Ifedi has elected to leave East Carolina's football program and transfer to North Carolina A&T, Hoist The Colours has learned.
Ifedi was officially removed from the ECU football roster following final exams earlier this week. The Charlotte, N.C., native's departure leaves the Pirates with just two scholarship quarterbacks on the current roster in rising sophomore Holton Ahlers and rising redshirt junior Reid Herring. Ifedi's departure ends a brief stay at ECU. The former Vance High School three-star quarterback redshirted in 2017 after enrolling early before serving as a backup quarterback this past season. Ifedi played in five games off the bench for the Pirates, completing 3-of-9 passes for 21 yards and two interceptions. He also ran four times for -4 yards. His last pass as an ECU player was an interception in the blowout loss at NC State. Will Carter be healthy for the Fall? Everything I'm hearing is yes but an open spring practice will give Barnette a golden opportunity to get in a ton of extra work with all of these younger QBs. I know I will be spending a lot more time watching who and what we recruit down in the trenches heading into next season. Quality big guys are hard to find and even harder to replace. Win that battle and we might be talking about a possible 3-peat by next summer.

This coaching staff has done a tremendous job bringing in the right transfers. I'm sure The King will fit in nicely. Hope we get a couple for the dl.

We will have 5 QB's on the roster this spring: Fowler, Ifedi, Carter, Gilliam and Andrews.
I guess that means we most likely wont be signing any more this recruiting period.
