I just booked 2 rooms at the downtown Sheraton for $65.00 per night. That's where the wife and I stayed last year. Best deal in town, IMHO. We made our reservations for this year's game when we checked out.

i went last year and had a fabulous time! but it doesn't appear that i'll make it this year even though the ticket prices seem to be less expensive this year. i would luv to be there this year too but the job and other circumstances are keeping me home...

I bought my tickets through our ticket office and should have gone through the Celebration Bowl website.
1) I thought that they were going to mail me my tickets. Instead, some lady from the Mercedes Benz/Atlanta Falcons ticket office sends my an email about tickets. I'm afraid to open it because I think it is spam. 2) I call to check on my tickets and the Atlanta Falcons ticket lady tells me that I have to download the MBenz Stadium App in order to get my tickets. 3) The A&T ticket office doesn't allow people to pick your own seats. 4) I must bring a cell phone to the game.

That's the same way it was last year , even if you order from the stadium website you don't get actual tickets . The only difference is you would be able to choose your exact seats through their website .Almost every venue uses e-tickets nowadays .

I just bought 4 tickets through the Celebration Bowl website.
They were the "me plus 3" ticket package plan for $37.50 each.
Total price with taxes and fees came to $214.00.
The prices on stubhub for the same section are even higher.
Sorry, but aint no locals gonna pay that much for 4 tickets to a HBCU football game.

The lowest price me+3 offer is actually $18.75 per ticket for end zone seats. There also individual 'rolling solo' tickets for $21.25 per ticket.

You are one of the main folks I was planning on seeing down there. man trust me, i wish i could be there really badd cuz i had an "absolute ball" last year. they were even filming a "movie" right outside my hotel room window which made it extra fun. but i work for the irs and this is the busiest time of the year for us because we have to prepare for the upcoming filing season before new year's. so upper management "suspended" annual leave for all of us until the end of december and that sucks! they did the same thing last year but i managed to find a late flight out of dc on friday night and since my hotel was downtown atlanta on peachtree street, it wasn't until near midnight that i found my hotel and valet parking for my rental car. needless to say, everything was "rush rush" last year as i'd planned to walk to the dome from the hotel the next day which wasn't but about a 15 or 20 minute walk from there. everything went according to plan, but because i couldn't get time off of work, it was a bit "stressful" managing to get everything done on time. my flight out of atlanta on sunday last year "just barely" beat the airport "power outage" that day. so this year, i don't want to have to go thru so much stress this time. i'd rather fly into atlanta during daylight so i can find my way around much better and have enough time to "relax" before game time the next day. couldn't do that last year. so this year i'm gonna take a pass and just watch it on tv. even though i had a good time last year (especially since we won), it was too stressful going thru all of that knowing that i can't miss work on friday or monday. not to mention i almost got "stuck" in atlanta for another day due to the airport power outage...

Hey, I know I'm old and lack computer geek skills but getting a darn football ticket shouldn't be that tough. But for the past two days I've been trying to break the code on obtaining and down loading my Celebration Bowl tickets. It was like figuring out a Rubik cube.
I'm old school and don't use my phone at Starbucks or anywhere else to buy stuff. So last year when I heard of this ticket process I had a friend in Atlanta go to the arena and buy me two hard-copy tickets.
I've broken the ticket code so it will be easier next time but I have several friends that said they will not do this again. I suspect they'll change their minds if we go next year but I understand their frustration.

Dont feel bad some personnel things came up my way and I want be able to make it either. I know Bornthrilla going to be upset. Man I feel really bad i really wanted to be there. I wish i could I say I will be there next year but given our QB situation forget about it.
