I am just not sold on Carter like a lot of fans are. I think he is one dimensional, best back-up in MEAC? ? I'm sold on Carter and always have been because he has been under used . If I am not mistaken Carter has saved our bacon in a number of games coming off the bench and not just with his legs but with his arm . Carter is like the relief pitcher in baseball . A lot of you are looking at his numbers in the passing game but are over looking his leadership on the field and his ability to extend plays with his Mobility . Carter Compliments our running game by adding that extra Dimension that Raynard didn't . As long as Raynard is a 100% go I have no problem but I do know the lingering effects of a concussion and we will know first hand after the Hit if he is 100% or not .

Remember this is turf and not grass so one solid hit and Carter could be in the game

Carter threw for 53 yards against a bad SSU team. The kid has a lot of moxie, but our best option at QB is wearing No. 7. If Raynard is cleared to play by the doctors then it should be assumed that he is back to full strength and has no lingering effects from the concussion. A brain is not like a sprained ankle. You are not getting cleared to go out on the field if the doctors think you are just back to 85 percent. I guess this is why some people vote for Trump and some people dont. It amazes me how you can compare Raynard in the same sentence as carter WOW!!!!!

Carter threw for 53 yards against a bad SSU team. take away "2" wide open "drops" by one of his receivers (won't call him out in the public forum), he "easily" would've had well over 100 yards passing. that 53 yards is very "misleading", especially considering he only had 19 passing attempts whereas raynard normally has close to 25 to 30 passing attempts...

to me, i think raynard should start but carter definitely needs to be "ready". let's not forget, raynard has not had a typical raynard like year. he's only had a couple of "typical" raynard type games this year.
he really struggled when he had the kidney stone issue. so let's just hope the after effects of the concussion will not adversely affect his ability to play this weekend...

Interesting senior year QB comparison:
Allan Hooker, 1987: 156-272 (57%), 1,787 yds, 10 TDs, 13 INTs Connell Maynor, 1991: 110-191 (55%), 1,527 yds, 18 TDs, 5 INTs Maseo Bolin, 1995: 162-298 (54%), 2,262 yds, 17 TDs, 5 INTs Lamar Raynard, 2018: 118-215 (55%), 1,373 yds, 16 TDs, 5 INTs
Hooker, Maynor and Raynard were coming off of MEAC championship seasons, albeit under different circumstances. But aside from Hooker throwing 13 INTs without Harbison and our defense underperforming in 1995 causing Maseo to throw from behind more often than not, the stats are uniquely similar.

I say play both of them to help throw nccu off. Hopefully we will be able to run the ball which in my opinion is the key to the game for us.

Update on the senior year QB comparison:
Allan Hooker, 1987: 156-272 (57%), 1,787 yds, 10 TDs, 13 INTs Connell Maynor, 1991: 110-191 (55%), 1,527 yds, 18 TDs, 5 INTs Maseo Bolin, 1995: 162-298 (54%), 2,262 yds, 17 TDs, 5 INTs Lamar Raynard, 2018: 134-238 (56%), 1,630 yds, 18 TDs, 5 INTs
Maynor and Raynard won the MEAC championships in their senior years. Lamar was the only one to win it back-to-back.
We're only left to wonder how a healthy Lamar Raynard would have performed with this team in the FCS Playoffs. It's a What-If scenario for the Aggie ages.
