We over matched against Maryland. No way Hofstra has that kind of size. I think each game we are understanding how to play with each other. This one could be a real close game and maybe an upset

This one could be a real close game and maybe an upset Hofstra's starting C is Jacquil Taylor, a 6-10 post we recruited and had his brother Maurice for one season. Jacquil went to Purdue, but never broke into rotation and grad-transferred to Hofstra. Their starting 4 is 6-8 as well as their backup post. But nothing like Maryland. If we can slow down Wright-Foreman and 6-5 wing Eli Pemberton, this should be a competitive game.

The point spread is -16.5 for Hofstra for tonight. You placed your Vegas bet yet? I've been on Powerball, Mega Millions & Lucky 4 Life on occasion of late. But I might have to start on Vegas if they keep underestimating us on these spreads.

We need some solid defense out of Johnson as he is also 6”10.

Dickey from UNC-G is likely the best on defense. We'll have to see what Va Tech has this year. Ib Sylla has to stay on the floor tonight. Period. No more unnecessary reach fouls. Aaren Edmead & Ty Lyons are from NYC, so this is a big night for them. I expect Aaren to break out of the slump in a big way. Dre's defense is going to be a work-in-progress until he gets stronger. But his offense is picking up. And once we figure out that Dre can knock down the elbow jumper in the pick-and-pop sets... There's a lot of growth potential for this team.
