Having 2 byes is smart planning...more time for our players to rest/recover from injuries and also focus on academics.
No other team will gave four weeks of recovery time during the season.
I'm not going to lie. I've been bummed big time that we didn't schedule a 12th game this season - home or away. We are not rich and, in my mind, we could always use additional game revenue.
So, I was thinking (for what little that is worth-LOL)...
Since we are still in the 'Celebration Bowl or bust' era, we have two winnable out-of-conference FCS games on our schedule. That takes care of any conference tiebreaker scenario (after the head-to-head tiebreaker). We have a money game 55 miles away from our campus. That takes care of our desire for revenue. With a bye between the non-conference games and conference games to go along with a bye before 3 of our toughest games, I am starting to embrace our schedule.
I am on record stating my trust for Hilton & Broadway. I will extend it for Hilton & Washington.
