(STATS) - With selecting the final few at-large teams an excruciating task, the FCS selection committee will have to draw a line in the sand with its playoff field. Unlike 2015 and '16, a team that finishes with only six Division I wins - perhaps an Idaho State or this week's Illinois State-UNI loser - will likely be left on the playoff sideline. Last year, McNeese didn't even make the field with eight D-I wins in a 9-2 season. Just look at the list of quality bubble teams are results projected out to Selection Sunday, Nov. 18: Chattanooga, Idaho State, Illinois State, Maine and Western Illinois. Considering all the craziness, we're projecting North Carolina A&T to forge its way in as a 9-2 MEAC runner-up. That would greatly impact the Southern and Southland conferences, which seem to fluctuate from one to three qualifiers each. The following is a projected FCS playoff field with a look ahead to upcoming schedules: PROJECTED BIDS BY CONFERENCE * - Automatic qualifier Big Sky (3): Eastern Washington, UC Davis*, Weber State Big South (1): Kennesaw State* CAA (5): Delaware, Elon, James Madison*, Stony Brook, Towson Independent (1): North Dakota MEAC (1): North Carolina A&T For the rest of the story: www.fcs.football/cfb/story.asp?i=20181030102729743326704

Well I ain't happy about it but if we can win out (and fix our offensive blahs) I can live with the playoffs this season.
This match up (Towson at North Carolina A&T first-round winner at No. 8 seed Delaware) would be a challenge but hey, it is what it is. Towson beat Morgan 36-10 so it will be a tough out.

yeah but first things first. we still have 3 more games to play. if we "slip up" in any of those 3 games, then its "bye bye" to the playoffs...

FAMU laid into their butts too. But I digress... If we are focused going into the Playoffs, we will win a first round game and upset a seeded team potentially.

I hope this pans out to be true. That's not a bad draw. I think FAMU would have to win out for us to keep that high of a seed. That way we only have one "bad loss" instead of two.
But first things first. We all know we can blow each team out the water, and we all know we can see another fg made with no seconds left. Let's hope the focus is there to complete the season and compete on the national stage for the 4th straight year.

We are not playoff ready on so many levels . I'm hoping for a BCU win over FAMU putting A&T in the CB . Unless things change with the teams focus I do not see a FCS playoff ready team .

The whole team may not be quite ready yet, but Cartwright and Martin are ready. That's enough for me RIGHT NOW. Everybody else will come around. This team plays better on the road and their focus is different. They will be alright. The rest of the schedule is away from home.
