I don’t really know if I feel better. There’s something wrong with how we play our 2nd halves. That was some uninspiring football for the last 30 minutes of the game. I’m glad our 1st half was dynamic....but great teams (with great coaches) play 60 minutes. The best offensive play of the 2nd half was Akevious Williams getting hurt. If not for that, the 2nd half would’ve been a fistfight. We won....but I can’t really say we’ve gotten over the proverbial hump. We got a bye, garbage teams in Norfolk and Savannah before playing Central. I just want to see a full game of excellence. With all the talent we have, that ain’t asking too much.
We need to be getting better and better every week. I’m still not convinced we are....

Mac’s injury looked a lil worrisome. The others, it looked like BCU was blocking below the knee on certain plays. But with the bye, most will be fine for GHOE! Norfolk ain’t got no offense. I couldn't see what happened with Mac because of the feed chopping. I pray it's not serious and he can be back for NCCU. But it gives our other likely starting CB for 2019 a chance to get more work. Amir McNeil is looking good as the next man up.

I think things got a lil chippy down there.

As much as we loved Broadway, we didn’t play 60 minutes with him as the coach either. We’ve been having these same 2nd half complaints for the last 4 years.

This is very true and a lot of games were cliff hangers especially at both CB victories.

There were multiple games for multiple years, that we complained about not putting away teams in the 2nd half and coasting.

Broadway, Fobbs, Forte, Hayes.....who the coach is/was at the time is irrelevant. We play one half of football and take a nap. If anyone thinks that’s conducive to being an MEAC champion, a CB winner or a formidable FCS playoff contender, we’re gonna have to agree to disagree. We should be looking better than what we have.
By the way, I liked the brotha who was one of the 2 commentators for the game today. He was a straight-shooter when it came to both teams.

Well we've won two out of the last three MEAC championships and CB and we've complained about the second half of games, playing to the level of our opponents and not putting teams away the entire time. I'd love for us to be Alabama, but to date we haven't been.

I'd love for us to be Alabama, but to date we haven't been. We're very likely to go to postseason play for 4 straight years in football. That's unheard in the modern era of HBCU football at our level. Would we like to be perfect in football? Sure. But it's hard as hell to do. That's why it's so uncommon for teams to go undefeated. Heck... #2 Ohio St got blasted by Purdue 49-20 this weekend. It happens. I want to see us run the table and do the damn thing in either the CB or the playoffs. But I'm damn proud of our program whether we do or don't.

Update:
Howard survives at Morgan St. 35-26.
If Howard wins out (SCSU, FAMU, at Norfolk) and we win out (Norfolk, SSU, NCCU)... we could be going to the CB. That would force either a 3-way tie between us, FAMU and Howard, or a two-way tie with us & Howard.
We're not in the driver's seat, but we gotta keep playing.

Balanced North Carolina A&T downs Bethune-Cookman 35-10STATS AP Oct 20, 2018
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) Jah-Maine Martin rushed for 118 yards and a touchdown, Lamar Raynard passed for 189 yards and two scores and a balanced North Carolina A&T built a commanding early lead and defeated Bethune-Cookman 35-10 on Saturday.
Five players scored touchdowns for NCA&T (6-2, 3-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference), which piled up 471 yards total offense to 196 and held the ball for nearly 36 minutes.
The Aggies rebounded from a one-point loss in their previous game to lead 26-3 by halftime and never let Bethune-Cookman (4-4, 2-2) get close, breaking the Wildcats three-game win streak.
Martin broke away for a 67-yard TD run midway through the opening quarter, Raynard hit Quinze Lockhart from the 19 to cap an 80-yard drive, and Ron Hunt hauled in a 55-yarder from Raynard in the closing two minutes of the half.
Keavon Mitchell fell on a fumble in the end zone to boost the Wildcats score to 26-10. Akevious Williams passed for 108 yards but had no touchdowns and was sacked three times.
