We can't run off tackle. We can't run between the tackles. We can't run. PERIOD. When's the last time you could say that about an Aggie football team?? Is that on the offensive line? The coaching staff? Failure to get creative with the play calling? All I know is our vaunted ground game that our program is known for has been absent for most of the year. What gives??

There's two ways to create an effective running game...have your offensive lineman manhandle the line of scrimmage opening holes for the backs. Or run misdirection plays to confuse the defensive line. Our game plan is to hand the ball off and hope our offensive linemen can manhandle the defense. Well they can't! And our offensive coordinator doesn't have a back up plan.
If we can't find a running game we're going to have trouble scoring.

Problem is...when we run the ball, everybody in the stadium knows we are gonna run the ball. That's the point we have to keep teams off balance to keep them honest. Anybody can stop you when they know what's coming.

We can not even run misdrection plays be cause the line has to many holes in it . I order to run MD you have to have some type of a down hill running game to set the MD's up . If you can't run down hill MD is useless . Hale we can't even run a effective screen play . Now A&T has positioned itself in a precarious position to have to win out to get the MEAC ship . Now we will see what they are made of or not .

The pass protection wasn't bad. We are running when everybody in the stadium knows we are going to run(ala Billy Hayes)!

Could we run better if Carter got significantly more playing time?

Could we run better if Carter got significantly more playing time? Short answer...no! I like Carter but he's not going make that big a difference to our running game. Better offensive line blocking is the only way to fix that. But more short passes over the center to the Tight end would help.

TE can’t catch Wow, tight end can't catch, wide receivers can't catch, field goal kicker can't kick field goals, and coaches can't get players to stop committing stupid penalties. So tell me again why I should be optimist about this team?

Well, this season is not over but offensively something needs to change drastically. The o.c. has a set of plays he's comfortable running but it's not working at a level that sustains drives. He'll need to get out of his comfort zone and get some playmakers in there that can help us achieve sustained drives and more offensive points. Given the number of dropped passes and the inability of the o-line to dominate we may have to change up things including letting Carter get a shot from the outset and letting Raynard come in later in the game. In a close game we can't rely on the field goal unit to get us three, so the best bet is to not let games be that close if we are able.

This has nothing to do with RAYNARD.He cant throw it and Catch at the same time.Raynard is the Starting Qb.Carter is a great change of pace QB but if u put him in let him be a Qb not just running QB draws. The question is playing Calling why did we pull RAYNARD out in the 4th with on 2 and 9 play.If we pick Up first down the Game is over.He is the MVP of the MEAC and Won the Big game in Atlanta..Please this comes back to OC Calling plays.

A different skillset from the position earlier in the game may help us later in the game. It's not so much Raynard's fault, but he can't fix it alone and the o.c., his o-line, and his receiving corps are unwilling and/or unable to help him.
Something has to change offensively and the o.c. isn't going anywhere and it appears isn't going to change his play-calling.
