This thread reminds me of Ben and Jerry's "Flavor of the Month" club.

LOL Martin had one good game and that puts him in the conversation to start.....Not in my book. He probably earned himself a few more carries

I think only one poster is advocating he start. I think everybody else is along the same lines as you frisco, i.e. he's earned a few more carries.

We've had a total of 3 rushing touchdowns this season.
Raynard has one of them. Guess who has the other two.

Baker's rushing touchdown doesn't count. Because I forgot about it and it doesn't help my argument.

If we play to our potential there'll be plenty of carries to go around.

yeah, given our early success this season, the rest of our schedule will be difficult because we have to guard against "complacency". the "bull's eye" is most definitely on our backs right now, its pretty much always been there for the last 3 or 4 years, but it'll be there more so this year than previous years because of the "upsets" we pulled over jsu and ecu, plus we finished last season "undefeated". so hail yeah the target's on our backs BIG TIME!
"errrrbody" gone be throwing the "kitchen sink" at us for the rest of the season and if our guys do not bring their "a" games to every contest left on our schedule, we could eventually be upset by an meac team. we've gotta take one game at a time and stay "motivated". easier said than done...

I don't think we need our "A" game to beat anyone in the MEAC. In fact I'm not sure we've seen it since the NSU game last season. I even thought the Celebration Bowl was one of our worst performances of the year. With that said I'm hoping our guys play up to their potential the rest of the season. If they do then we have nothing to worry about.

You're likely not going to look your best in that scenario... especially if you're not consistently playing upper-tier defenses on a weekly basis. Thankfully we play NCCU & their defense before the postseason. It gets you ready.

The one-two punch looks good to me. Honestly, Martin looks like a faster Cartwright so much, I have to check their numbers sometimes to see who is who. Against Steat there were a couple of carries I swore were Martin because of the distance the run went for, but it was Cartwright. Likewise, there were a few carries where the runner lowered his shoulder and looked to inflict punishment and lo and behold, it was Martin.
They rubbing off on each other.
