All i saw were concept pictures but I don't think this is A&T's doing. But they were in A&T's last BOT meeting notes at the very end of the facilities PDF. I'm assuming we're interested in an apt complex being close to campus to ease the population growth.

Is that in the old post office building parking lot? Did A&T try and purchase that land?

Yes. Thats the exact spot. I don't have any details on the specifics...... just took note of it when I saw it. asked a connect at the Greensboro News & Record what he knows and from that conversation, A&T is currently not involved with the project. We just have eyes on it. Check it out here.

That strategic plan is great! The university is really positioning itself to be an anchor for East Greensboro. I also like the focus of creating retail and housing options around the campus for students, giving East Greensboro a more college town environment. I also have noticed every press release from the university now says East Greensboro.
Sidebar: for the proposed new athletic offices at the stadium, I wonder how they are going to mitigate traffic flow.

The plans look nice, the parking eats a ton of that land tho. It only took them 12 years to start developing the land, Im afraid to know how long the actual build will take...

No. The new gates will be to the right and left of the main plaza of the complex on Sullivan street down the hill on angling large wide walkways with handrails along both the North and South sides of the stadium. It replaces all the chain link and barbed wire with wrought iron fencing and brick facades. At least that's what it is in artist drawings I've seen.

Hopefully because the city of Greensboro is peeking over their shoulder they'll put some pep in their step. Hopefully there will be some kind of detailed timeline on this soon.
