Man arrested in 2016 shooting that killed 2 NC A&T students at off-campus party By Danielle Battaglia danielle.battaglia@greensboro.com
GREENSBORO — The families of Alisia Dieudonne and Ahmad Campbell spent the past two years seeking justice after the N.C. A&T students were killed at an off-campus party. Late Thursday evening they got just that. Greensboro Police arrested 27-year-old Lawrence Jacques Baird on Thursday in the Oct. 2, 2016, deadly double shooting of Dieudonne and Campbell. He is in the Guilford County jail without bail. Baird faces two first-degree murder charges, as well as discharging a firearm into an occupied property, possession of a firearm by a felon, and a felony probation violation charges. The two N.C. A&T students were shot and killed at 2:11 a.m. in an apartment at 911 Circle Drive in Greensboro. Investigators immediately spoke out after the deadly double shooting and said Dieudonne, 19, of Homewood, Ill. and Campbell, 21, of Kitrell were innocent victims. wow, they didn't say what evidence they had to justify arresting this guy. how can they be sure this is the right guy? You have to trust the process my brother , most of the time they don't speak on all of the evidence they have . Most definitely there are 2 court systems in this country ,the court of public opinion ,and the the court of law .Also they don't want to taint the jury pool ,you want people on the jury who can impartially form an opinion one way or the other .

If this guy ends up being found guilty, I hope he serves some serious prison time. These kids were inside the apartment and was shot through the walls if read the article correctly. Can you imagine sending your child of to college and getting this call?

A felon and many others decided to crash a party that they were not invited to, and when asked to leave by the host, he and other not invited guest start a brawl. He pulls out a gun which is illegal for a felon to have, and starts shooting into the apartment. He is charged with two counts of first degree murder.

My senior year at A&T my new wife and I lived at 905 Circle Drive , the apartment next to the apartment where the murders happened. Those were happy days and I can't imagine how something like this would have devastated my family. We all don't have to be friends but we've got to start valuing other's life.
