That person that Cal appears to be talking to may be Tom Gola.

Teddy Campbell all time leading rebounder for years at T. Led T to CIAA Championship 1967. Last player cut from 76ers in 1968.

There doesn’t appear to be much written about Ted Campbell. He was the 1967 CIAA Men's Basketball Tournament Outstanding Player. He is still in the top 10 of all-time Aggie rebounders. The Philadelphia Sixers selected Ted in Round 12 with Pick 11 in the 1968 NBA Draft. I had the pleasure of meeting Ted at the Aggie Alumni House in DC when the Aggie Club was allowed to feed the Basketball Teams when in DC to play Howard. Ted talked more sh#t in that hour I spent with him than I heard combined in my whole life. Jerry Eaves was the coach then. All I’m gonna say is he had an opinion about Coach Eaves. He talked about Cal, Big House, the NSU game, other players, it was truly a pleasure. I don't think it's Tom Gola, because he was with the Knicks 1962–1966. I do think it's Adolph Schayes who coached the 76ers 1963–1966, plus he has the same expression. Schayes was a 12-time NBA All-Star, and six-time All-NBA First Team.

So, this one is off the sports theme, but these individuals had the vision and leadership to foster the success of athletics during their tenure as President of what has become North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Can you match the picture with the name?

1. C, 2. A, 3. E (Bluford is your first E), 4. E (Gibbs is your second E), 5. B,
Interesting that you have them in the order that they served.

Ted and I were very great friends. He told me that Big House Gaines had recruited him to play for the Rams. He said he rode the train down from Philly on his way to Winston Salem. He said when the train made a brief stop in Greensboro he noticed a man walking down the aisle towards him. He said the man introduced himself as Coach Cal Irvin. He said coach Irvin took him off the train after a brief conversation. He told me that he never made it to Winston Salem and played basketball for 4 years at T.
That is his future wife Pat on that picture. Teddy was a physical specimen and a monster on the boards.
Teddy passed in 2008. We had great times together.

He was one of my all-time favorite Aggies while I was growing up (Pedro, Darryl Cherry and Vernon Walker we’re three others). He always took a second to say hello or let me, a 4th grader, take a couple of shots with him after practice.
I was just about to ask if he was still around.

Cherry is gone also. Lettered in 4 sports at T. He was great in basketball and football. Turned down a pro baseball contract coming out of high school at West Charlotte.
Played briefly for the Dallas Cowboys.

When I lived in DC I had a chance to go by and see Pat and Teddy Campbell at their apartment in Maryland on the out-shirts of SE DC. He was a good dude and was straight up people.....He most definitely could ball. He was a real beast around the bucket. Me, fellow Aggies Charlie Brown (lived by the Shrimp Boat in NE DC) and Chester Mac (SE DC) use to be regulars at their apartment.
Does anyone remember Charlie Brown and Chester Mac??? (They were party heads not ball playas)
