Gibbs dont get no credit for Mayhew. He had him in the doghouse most of his senior year. Might have cost him some considerations from NFL scouts. That was Coach Broadway, he had to show he was the bigger Alpha, Mayhews attitude was stank at that time, he had been rough riding Coach Rags and some of the other Coaches, a big part of that team/coach split.

not to mention a very good RB coach in Shawn Gibbs. And I think we miss that part of the equation. Mayhew Cohen Cartwright All 1K rushers... all under Gibbs. Folks are taking note. i agree that coach gibbs is an excellent rb coach. but heck, we're talkin' bout "runningback u" up in this mugg!! we "always" produce 1k rb's. even during our 27 game losing streak, we still kept producing 1k rb's. shoot, its virtually "expected" that a&t will have a 1k rb every year. heck, its been so long, i can't even remember the last time we didn't have a 1k rb...

Is anyone else here worried about Raynard's little bird legs?
I thought he put on weight this offseason.

He's always had a slight frame. Only so much you can do with his base.

Those bird legs are 26-0 as a starter and propelled us to a 12-0 season and the single greatest passing season in A&T history. Those bird legs belong to a walking A&T/MEAC Hall of Famer. Gotta let Lamar be Lamar.

On a side note... you wanna know who is a bad man?....
Leroy Hill.
Congrats to him on being named to the preseason All MEAC first team at TE. He finished 2017 playing in all 11 games and finished with two catches for 34 yds.
Now I know he was first All MEAC after the 2016 season where he finished with 17 rec for 174 yes and two TDs. Clearly a result of name recognition and no other legitimate TE in the conference.

Yes Hill had a great 2016 in reception his is a great run blocker. Last Trey Scott was more of a TE / WR hybrid

Josh McCoy from North Carolina Central (2nd Team) is a pretty good pass catching TE in his own right.
