wow, feels a little weird that the strength of our offense is the passing game. traditionally that's always been our running game... Sent from my SM-G950U using proboards I wouldn’t take it that far...we have three horses at RB and some mammoth fullbacks. We are a balanced offense which is different.

yea i would not go as far as saying that the passing is the strength. But What we can all agree on is this is gonna be a pretty damn good offense

That's probably why he came here. Split carries with Cartwright for one year and then potentially become the workhorse back for the next two seasons.

Solid strategy, especially to be able to play in front of the hometown crowd. And Tarik proved that if you're good enough... you can make it there (the NFL) from here. It's good when things can fall into place for a young man like that.

The only problem with that plan is that Washington is not gonna stop recruiting RBs .. especially after Cartwright leaves.
Graves is gonna have to fend off a new cast of challengers to the throne each year.

Graves is gonna have to fend off a new cast of challengers to the throne each year. Coach Washington SHOULD do that. But talent rises to the top. So if Mr. Graves is NFL-caliber... he'll rise. Opportunity and best fit are all you can ask for... not to mention a very good RB coach in Shawn Gibbs. And I think we miss that part of the equation. Mayhew Cohen Cartwright All 1K rushers... all under Gibbs. Folks are taking note.

Gibbs dont get no credit for Mayhew. He had him in the doghouse most of his senior year.
Might have cost him some considerations from NFL scouts.

Lewis Kindle's performance certainly didn't help matters. But we finished 7-4 and Mayhew had a heckuva game at NCCU. 2011 was solid, though.
