I haven't personally done any research on turf vs. grass but I have seen one sports program make the switch. The most recent example I have of a team changing from grass to turf is the Carolina Panthers. When David Tepper took over the ownership of the team several years ago, he made several comments about the lack of use of Bank of America Stadium when the Panthers aren't playing there. He wanted to schedule more concerts and non-football event when stadium wasn't being used. So, in order to host those events, he had the stadium switched from grass to turf. Since then, the Rolling Stones and Beyonce have performed there. I'm not sure if he directly profited from that change (probably did) but the change would not have been made with his endorsement. Money talks...

If turf fields are dangerous and A&T cares about the health of its players, we should just refuse to put our athletes on that surface and forfeit every game that we have to play on turf.
All this talk about caring about player safety is strictly performative. You guys are not serious because you still watch every game that we play on turf.

European program can afford to invest in their fields because predominantly the majority of their field are soccer pitches. There is a big difference in the maintenance and upkeep of a football field and a soccer field -pitch. Because you don't have 340 pounders playing soccer. Soccer is a dominant sport in Europe comparing they're playing fields to America's is like comparing apples to oranges. Stop making hypotheticals and you can't say that one country cares more about its athletes than the other come on man please. I actually can, Europe cares more about their athletes than the US. You may not agree but i do not care. Facts are facts the European clubs are investing more in their fields. European football also plays more than 9 matches on their fields. Apples and oranges are both fruits 🤣🤣🤣 You really have no clue 😆 😂 🤣

Just because you got roughed up at a gym jam does not mean A&T had a gang problem. Nobody told you to walk in between the Ques when they were party hopping.

I posted this not because we could emulate it verbatim (we can’t) but because it shows an alternative we could look into as an almost R1 institution.

my complaint all along was that our grass turned "brown" in early october and november. though i favor field turf (cuz it looks better), i'm cool with grass as long as we "keep it green". as long as we keep our grass surface "green", ya won't hear any complaints from osa...
