From the highlights I saw they had Pettiford at left tackle vs right tackle OL looked much better in the spring game. Rumors of their impending doom may have been exaggerated.

With the talented receivers we have on the squad "Big Baby Ray.......#7 might be able to get national recognition. I am sincerely hoping that the OL jells and can keep him up not down. Does anyone know why we have the drop off this coming year with the "big uglies" being mostly up and comers? Did we not have a good recruiting year for OL's year before last. I know injuries and transferees can hurt a team. Can anyone help me with this??? We won't have a 6-7 stretch Armstrong at LT this fall, but we will have 5 "stout" and powerful linemen with good feet starting this fall. From what I am seeing, all but one of our projected starters should be in the ball park of 6-3 - 6-4 and between 290 lbs - 310 lbs. We also have 3 transfers coming in and a Frosh coming in that is a big ugly. As long as they commit to our continually improving conditioning and nutrition program, they'll be more than prepared for Fall Camp. They'll also have to practice against our beastly defensive line all summer. will need that surely against Jacksonville State, after the Spring Game Coach Grass spoke of rotating his defensive front 4 regularly to keep them fresh

Did Parker get an invite to the combine?? I know he had a chance to show his stuff at Pro Day. I look for him to get drafted in either 6 or 7 round. Even if he does not get drafted at least I am sure he will sign as a free agent and that might not be too bad because he will then be able to (hopefully) pick a team that needs OL help.

So there's no news there. But that coach lost a potential NFL draft pick on his DL: www.nfl.com/prospects/darius-jackson?id=32462018-0002-5601-60a4-61f6bc9ab4efCoach Grass likely has to worry more about a potential 10-man DL rotation that we're going to throw at his OL. He knows he's in for a battle even for what should be a home game for him. Side note: If anyone ever goes into the Bryan Center Weight Room, you'll notice on the wall that Daryl Johnson was one of the Lifters of the Year for 2017. Hard work does pay off.
