Parker is in the last year of his rookie deal. Next year they would have to pay him real money. If they are going to release him it's better to be early in camp so that he can latch on to another team. At 6-8 320, he'll end up somewhere in the league. The Raiders did their job in giving him an opportunity to start in 20 games. His best fit may be somewhere else. The person who advocated for him was dismissed by new coach. He was after all well prepared. Academics alone should have made the new coaching staff do a double take maybe he needs to be elsewhere.

Salary cap issues. The Raiders spent a ton of money on this past draft and in the free agent market. KC needs immediate offensive tackle help as well as Carolina and about a dozen other NFL teams.

Normally I’d say weeelllllll, the MEAC doesn’t exactly prepare you for the big time. But this man was all conference all four years wasn’t he? Did he ever give up a sack? Maybe one. And he was coached and prepared by A FORMER PRO. Not to mention he played and dominated against some upper level teams as well.
Y’all are on point. This article is a hatchet job to justify putting him on the market or offer him less money on an extension.
Wasn’t there a movie called “Leaving Las Vegas?” Bye Felicias.

He played most of the 2ng half. He put in work! Yep. The 1st-round pick Leatherwood had an abdominal injury. Similar to last year... Brandon has the chance to put on some good tape for his next deal. Let's do it!

I see Parker playing well enough this year to get a contract with a new team. Do the Panthers need a tackle? (wink wink)

I see Parker playing well enough this year to get a contract with a new team. Do the Panthers need a tackle? (wink wink) They need a LT for sure. They have journeyman Cam Erving there now and top-tier RT Taylor Moton. Perhaps we're an ideal spot for Brandon to land on a mid-level 2-year deal to compete for that.

Raiders News: Alex Leatherwood at guard, Brandon Parker at tackle One of the biggest culprits in pass protection has been rookie right tackle, Alex Leatherwood. Per Pro Football Focus, Leatherwood is responsible for four sacks and has surrendered 18 pressures, while grading out as the second-worst pass protector at the position. Heading into the Draft, many felt the eventual first-round pick would be better suited at guard for this reason and apparently, the Raiders coaching staff is now seeing that as well. Vincent Bonsignore of the Las Vegas Review-Journal recently shared that Leatherwood is taking reps in practice at right guard and backup Brandon Parker has stepped in at right tackle. www.google.com/amp/s/www.silverandblackpride.com/platform/amp/2021/10/7/22714987/raiders-news-alex-leatherwood-brandon-parker

I'm watching RED ZONE right now and Brandon is playing a lot today. I'm not sure if he started, but he's been on the field for every offensive play that I've seen so far.

Saw "Mr. Big Stuff" do his thing at right tackle. Did a great job. Good for him. Gruden needs all the help he can get to win games, especially after his email fiasco about 10 years ago.

Hopefully this bodes well for Brandon moving forward. Too much instability with the Raiders. Now we know why.
