feels good as heck having a player from our team "drafted" in the top 5 rounds into the nfl 2 years in a row! hopefully we can make it 3 years in a row after this upcoming season... We can... We just need to cheer for us to go 2-0 in the first two weeks of the season. If we can do that, the scouts will be snooping around again.

That's true...I get the feeling that the Jacksonville State is gonna be a physicallying tasking game, more so than ECU. But, if we can win both, that will help the healing process some. But, who do we have coming out next year that possibly could be drafted in the top 4 rounds?

I would say the following guys have a legit shot depending on how the season plays out (and health): Raynard at QB Cartwright at RB McKnight at DT To be an FCS draft pick, you have to be dominant at your position. These are the seniors that have a chance to be dominant. NFL scouts are already looking at Elijah Bell & Daryl Johnson for the 2020 Draft. But we'll revisit them on this topic after this year.

If Johnson continues to put on weight, gain strength and play well against ECU and Duke it’s a lock.

The projected value for Brandon's rookie contract is 4 years, $4.1 million with a signing bonus of over $1 million. www.spotrac.com/nfl/draft/

I hope he (and Tarik) read this. I do disability law for a living by reviewing disability claims and deciding whether folks are eligible. I just had my FOURTH former pro football player's claim come across my desk last Friday.
They all made over a million dollars in a year at one point. They're all broke now. Three of them are under 50. One of them was a Heisman finalist. They're all household names. Only one was approved for disability even though all four were f-ed up.
INVEST WISELY AND DON'T SPEND ISHT.
Put that signing bonus in an interest bearing account and buy apartment buildings with the rest.

Ever thought about becoming a financial advisor and lawyer for athletes? They'll need someone to know how to navigate those SSDI waters.

Someone represented a former NFL lineman on a child support case. He didn't file for a modification after his salary from the NFL went south. The case accumulated arrears on a million dollar based child support order. Needless to say, the less than 40K NFL disability check can barely feed his big tail. He gets brought in to court every 6 months and shook down for a percentage for whatever he has earned. SADD!!!

Ever thought about becoming a financial advisor and lawyer for athletes? They'll need someone to know how to navigate those SSDI waters. Nope. Financial advising isn't my expertise. Before I went to the other side for a steady gubment paycheck I represented people who were trying to get disability, period. I just suggested buying apartment buildings because my great uncle got rich doing that although he was close to illiterate and ran numbers in DC back in the 50s. Everybody needs a place to live. So long as you have enough cash in the account to cover any expenses or non-paying tenants and a decent management group managing the building it's the best passive income you can find imo. The last thing I want to see is these cats get caught up in the glow and glamor of today and have to deal with the bureaucracy and bs that comes along with waiting for government assistance. I know of a former Aggie great and former pro who's in our system right now waiting. I don't want to know of any more.

Raiders Like What They See of Pair of Rookie Tackles
No. 1 pick Kolton Miller and third-rounder Brandon Parker have made big strides already, say teammates and coaches By Doug Williams Published at 8:28 AM PDT on Jun 18, 2018Kolton Miller and Brandon Parker already have come a long way with the Raiders. The pair of offensive tackles, taken in the first (Miller) and third (Parker) rounds, were seen as risk picks by some. Though the Raiders needed help at right tackle, Oakland’s selection of the two offensive linemen prompted some critics to say the franchise had drafted more for need than talent, and that the Raiders had reached. Miller from UCLA and Parker from North Carolina A&T each had significant flaws, according to some NFL scouts. Yet through organized team activities (OTAs) and the recent full-roster minicamp, Miller and Parker have taken big strides, working with offensive line coach Tom Cable and the rest of the coaching staff.
