Hey, since we are in the golden era ... how about unveiling some special golden chrome helmets for Homecoming or the next time we reach the Celebration Bowl? You could even auction off a few of them afterwards and make a killing as a fundraiser item. I would buy that, The team, should adopt this design.

Real talk... you should send that to the AD in the event we ever consider going to an alternate jersey combination. That's the latest wave in recruiting.

Alcorn wore them when they lost in 2015 & NCCU wore them when they lost in 2016... All white uniforms as well...Alcorn, NCCU & Grambling all had white jerseys and pants when they lost at the CB

How chrome helmets became college football’s latest fad
By JACOB BOGAGE Sep 29, 2015 COLUMBIA — There's a special feeling on football Fridays at Edwardsville High School in Illinois. The Tigers show up to school in shirts and ties, then pull their bright white game jerseys with orange trim over the ensemble and head to class. High schools all over the country have similar traditions. It's for a specific reason, said defensive coordinator Kelsey Pickering. "We're gonna look sharp on Fridays, and it carries over to Friday nights. We're gonna look good because that's how we want to play." And when the Tigers take the field, they do it wearing chrome helmets, football's latest fashion statement. "They look really sharp under the lights on Friday nights," Pickering said. Now, try flipping between college football games on Saturdays without seeing a similar look. NCAA teams have taken heavily to the chrome craze. And this, like most football uniform trends, started in Eugene, Oregon. Texas AD Chris Del Conte explains plan to improve football game-day experience By Matt JenningsTexas athletics director Chris Del Conte wants to make some major changes to the game day experience for fans during football season in order to improve attendance. The new AD told ESPN Radio’s Freddie and Fitzsimmons that his staff is working on ways to make attending football games more attractive during a time when college football attendance is down across the country. Del Conte said he believes it starts with improving the atmosphere and fanfare around the game itself. “Whenever we have a football game, it’s truly a chance for us to celebrate our university,” Del Conte said. “And that means not only just the game, but all the pomp and circumstance that goes around that game. These stadiums are 60, 70, 80, 100,000-seat stadiums. Things have changed. With television, the kids, how they view their content. … So we have to look at different ways we purpose that in-game experience as well as that out-of-game experience.” Del Conte said the school needs to improve wireless access for fans who want to use their phones and participate in the experience on social media during games. He also emphasized a need to “repurpose” in-game entertainment during timeouts and television breaks. The Texas AD pointed to Disney World as an example of a fan experience that goes beyond the main attraction. He wants to create that same sort of atmosphere around Texas football games. “If you look at Disney, the experience of your children going to Disney starts when they receive that ticket,” Del Conte said. “And they fly to Orlando. You get in the hotel and [you get] all that [Disney] experience until you get to the gate. Then you wait in line for three hours to get on the Matterhorn. Right? Three hours. And then you get on the ride for 40 seconds, and you’re going, ‘Oh my God.’ Then we do it again. “But what happens when you get back to the hotel? Your kids [say], ‘Dad, that was awesome! Can we do it again?’ We’ve got to create that same experience all the way around our venues.” www.diehards.com/texas/texas-football-chris-del-conte-longhorns-games-darrell-k-royal-disney-world

Imagine if we came out with the chrome helmets and some solid navy uniforms for Homecoming. That would be crazy:

How about we don't get new helmets and just try to keep winning in the helmets we have.
I am superstitious. I want them boys wearing the same socks and durags from last season.

The new uniforms will have mixed reviews...I'm good as long as the players and the recruits like them!
