Am I wrong for rooting for Cleveland to beat Chicago tomorrow... so John Fox & his OC can be on the first train smokin' out of Chicago in 2 weeks?
Askin' for a friend... #FreeTarik

Because of Tarik, Chicago just executed one of the best punt return plays you’ll see. Cohen went to the right side of the field where everyone on Minnesota followed, but the punter had punted to the other side (trying to keep it away from Cohen) where there was one Bear that had nothing but daylight.

Reports say Fox will be fired after this game. The are not that far off they need Wr and linebackers, but the play of Qb is important. Cohen has had a good season injury free and with limited touches.

Sean McVay with the Rams helped get John Fox fired. That's a good thing. I credit the GM for not giving Fox a pass because he played a rookie QB. McVay proved that the right coach can take a young, talented rookie QB and play to his strengths and his existing weapons while developing his weaknesses. That coach is out there. Vance Joseph may lose his job in Denver because they failed at QB and lost that team. In hindsight... they likely should have targeted Anthony Lynn, the other brother who was an offensive coordinator/associate HC at Buffalo. San Diego made out like bandits with that hire. It will be an interesting NFL offseason, for sure.

When and if they fire Fox, they need to send some of the assistant coaches with him, especially on the offensive side of the ball. The offensive line is atrocious.

This new coaching staff is going to junk the ball control attack and spread the field to open things up which should really benefit Tarik's game.

wow, what a great football year it has been for aggie football! i'm almost "overwhelmed" with happiness. i mean, we didn't lose a single game of football all season long and most of our games were "blowouts".
but then, the frosting on the cake is the rookie season that tarik had in the nfl. man, that dude made me so very proud! heck, there were some who doubted that he could even make the 53 man active roster, much less be selected as a "pro bowl" alternate. he had an outstanding rookie season and i couldn't be prouder as an aggie.
when i think about the joy that God has blessed us with relative to our football program and our university as a whole, i can't help but to reflect back when our beloved alma mater was struggling on "hard times". its painful to think about, but its also therapeutic to remember where we came from to get to where we are now. i personally remember being there thru thick and thin to support our aggie football team throughout that ugly 27 game losing streak.
i "vividly" remember us playing morgan state in baltimore during that streak when we had jumped out to an early lead that we actually kept until the closing minutes of the 4th quarter, only for morgan state to come back at the very end and snatch that victory from within our teeth just as the game was down to its final minutes. i remember walking pass the aggie locker room after that game was over where many of our football players were standing outside with their heads down and a very dejected look on their faces. man, it was deja vu all over again. we kept getting close to a victory only to have our opponent snatch it away from us at the end of the game.
i remember as i walked pass our dejected football players that day with my aggie football jersey on, i shouted to them to, "keep your heads up, we still luv ya'll!" i'll never forget the look i got back from them after i said that. the expression on their faces looked very "uplifted", their body language said despite the embarrassing losing streak they were experiencing when almost everybody else was saying derogatory things about them, the fact that a proud alum shouted something "positive" about them made them feel much better about themselves.
man, those were the dark days and sometimes i personally reflect on those hard times because it gives me a greater appreciation for where we are now compared to then. fast forward to today and no such "negativity" with our football team remotely exists, thanks to the leadership of coach broadway along with the support of our administration.
these days we now have several players in the nfl and the cfl, our football team has won or shared 3 out of the last 4 meac championships and upset 2 fbs teams (kent state, unc charlotte) and 1 fbs team in transition (app state). wow! how things have changed since the dark days! a complete reversal...
