Since we're still in the dead period until football, we'll continue with some highlights of our newest editions for women's hoops for 2017-18.
The same rules apply as for the men's thread... this is not for:
- Complaints over Coach Robinson's record from last season or his general coaching - Concerns over facility enhancements & basketball funding - Complaints over the AD & Chancellor's handling of the basketball program
The first up is Jonisha McCoy, a 5'11" G/F from East Duplin HS.
Jonisha is also playing tonight in the NC East-West All-Star Game at the Greensboro Coliseum at 6:30 pm.

well, she definitely has a "handle", that's for sure. clearly she can "score" and her steals stats are pretty good too. but i didn't see her shoot too many 3's in her video and that's crucial nowadays in the college and pro game.
maybe i'll see if i can dig up some stats on her 3 point shooting. we're in dire need of "3 point shooting" and great ball handling too. no doubt she's got a "handle", hopefully an outside jumper too...
she's the "symbol" of lady aggie basketball excellence. its amber calvin's "show time" in aggieland!! the queen of "no look" passes...

this young lady can really play!! just what we needed, a point guard who has great "speed and quickness" who can also score. looking forward to seeing her in aggie blue and gold!

seeing wilson and batie on video makes me feel a lot better about the talent we'll have at our guard positions going into this upcoming season. they both have good "quickness" and they both can handle the rock like a string's attached. didn't see a lot of 3 point shooting though. hopefully they both can stroke the 3 as well. i think mccoy is better suited for either forward position even though she's only 5'11" tall...

The last clips aren't of a new signee, but a transfer... 6'0" SG/SF C'Coriea "CC" Foy from Fayetteville. CC was a former ESPN Top 100 recruit who sat out last season after transferring from Alabama. She will have 3 years of eligibility left:

with the new recruits and transfers coming in, this should be a very big year for the lady aggies. assuming everybody returns from last years team, i think we'll be making a run to regain our meac championship...

seeing this young lady play has really got me excited! she can ball her azz off! and can stroke the "3"! i think this year's new players really complement our returning players.
if i remember correctly, didn't one of our bigs go down with an acl injury last season? i think it was charnise tyler, maybe? if so, hopefully she'll bounce back this season because i think we now have the talent on the perimeter that we didn't have last year.
the transfer from uncg will help a lot too. i'm looking for the transfer from app state, the true freshman from richmond, and this young lady "cc" to have major impact immediately. i think we now have the talent to win the meac this year...
