The last of our transfers who sat out last year is 6'8", 230 lb F/C Olufemi "Femi" Olujobi of Long Island, NY. Femi transferred from Oakland University, a Horizon League D1 mid-major located in Michigan. Like Edmead & Kadji, Femi also has 2 years remaining.

We also have another graduate transfer. 6'2" SG DeVonte Boykins from Forest City, NC is transferring from Ga. Southern in the Sun Belt Conference. DeVonte graduated in 3 years and is eligible to play his final season with us immediately. DeVonte was a rotational player with Ga. Southern, but did shoot 35% from 3-pt range last season.

He did log significant minutes at Georgia Southern even as a freshman. It's not like he was buried on the bench he was definitely in their rotation as 6th / 7th man.

Yep... averaged 20 minutes per game the past 2 years and shot 22 of 62 from 3-pt range in 2016-17... so 35% shooting around 2 3s per game with a positive assist/TO ratio. You could find a lot worse.
It's an interesting mix of talent, athleticism, experience and competition between Kwei Lartey, Raymon Pratt and DeVonte Boykins at our 2-guard spot.

One more update for now.... 6'4" SG/SF Myles Patten, who will take the roster spot previously held by Joshua Mullins. Patten played at St Anthony's (NJ) under legendary coach Bob Hurley and did a post-grad year at Hargrave Military Academy this past season.

What about this guy Milik Gantz whose twitter account says he committed to A&T over the weekend. He's a JUCO, 6-4, PG. Didnt post tweet because replying from my phone and thats a hassle. Did find a couple youtube videos though, seems promising.
Aggie Born, Aggie Bred, & When I Die, I'll be Aggie Dead
Yes, we got us an extremely talented top tier guard from the JUCO ranks yesterday. Milik Gantz is a 6-4 combo guard from Bishop McDevitt HS via suburban Philadelphia's Harcum College. As a senior at McDevitt, Gantz averaged 18.3 ppg, 8 rpg and 8 apg as Mike Gaffey's Crusaders (22-6) reached the quarterfinals of the PIAA's Class AAA tournament.
Following his senior season, Gantz reeled in a first-team all-star nod from the Mid-Penn Keystone Division's coaches and he also landed on PennLive's Big 15 team (first team) for the second straight year. Gantz also was named to the first team of the Class AAA all-state unit selected by a panel of Pennsylvania sports writers. Gantz was a second-team selection following his junior season. A four-year regular at McDevitt who possesses an assortment of playmaking skills, the ability to get to the hole repeatedly and a highly visible creative gene, Gantz finished his Crusaders career with 1,248 points.
At Harcum, Gantz averaged 13 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 6.1 assists per game while shooting 48.2 % from the field and 41.5 from the 3-pt. line, and 74.5 from the line. This guy is a superb passer, a shooter and slasher when he needs to be and is at his best off the break. He has the complete game. He had been pursued by Penn State, Boston University, Manhattan, UMass, and Niagara.

Why would you say that the guy average 13 points 6 rebounds and 6 assist at a D1 JUCO last year. ?
I can't tell you how this all comes together on the floor but Joyner has made signifigant upgrades in talent on every spot on the floor. It's Joyners's job to bring in talented players it's his job to make it come together on the floor.

Also in the classroom because if they can't cut it in the classroom it does not matter what they do on the floor.

One last update... some have asked about a getting a big and getting players from the DMV. Per Twitter, we got both with 6-10 D'Andre Johnson from Upper Marlboro, MD by way of Gould Academy in Maine.
For the first time in years I'm beginning to feel better about A&T's men's basketball. I think these recruits significantly improve the talent level on the team. I just hope they gel together and play well as a team. Thanks for posting these player highlight videos,
