I stopped in while in town today. Its a nice facility, from what little I saw - I didn't have a whole lot of time. However, I didn't realize that its massive size would mean losing one of the Quad's iconic mainstays. It ate the fountain and its bordering trees!
I think you're mistaken about that. The last time I went there I didn't go on that side but I looked through the window and thought I saw it.
The time before that I walked on that side and saw plainly where they'd sectioned off where the wall would be. I walked around the pool with my kids and it was still a decent distance away from the building.
