With the new student union taking up all of the parking lot , we might be in need of another parking deck . Anyone have any thoughts on where we could put another deck on campus ? If I'm not mistaken, the campus master plan shows that the university is trying to purchase the Masonic lodge adjacent to Stockwell Hall for the purpose of building a Deck Those negations are ongoing. A&T already bought the Y so it shouldn't be long

Since the bookstore will be in the Union, what is the plan for brown hall?

hey, since i was in town for the game this past weekend, ya know i had to drop by and take a look at the construction of the new student center and that bad boy is “massive”. unlike the old union, this bad boy stretches all the way out to the street and takes up all of the space that used to be the adjacent parking lot across from cooper hall.
wow, the new union is really gonna enhance campus life for the students big time...

I agree oleschool. It also will be an impressive recruiting tool. I can't wait to take my teenager into the finished product.

I'm confused! If it stretches all the way down to the street, it appears Cooper would be in the way? Does it start from where the old one was? Nevermind, from looking at the photo, it looks like it stops at the street that goes behind Cooper. Wow, that is massive!

Wow, that is massive! lol, i said stretches all the way out "to the street", not down to the street. i meant that the front of the building stretches all the out to the street that runs between moore gym and the union. but you're also correct that the "side of the building" stretches to the street that goes behind cooper hall...

Then it was the like the place to kind of hang out, socialize and meet up with friends on that side of the campus.

Morgan has a nice new looking student union and other pretty campus improvements. The only new building that went up during my days at "T" was the McNair Bldg. As a student, we never envisioned A&T having a beautiful(physical)campus.

yeah, when scott hall got demolished, our yard looked like a "hot mess" for a couple of years. but it was worth it given the construction of the new dorms in the aftermath...
