If its like what I heard, Its Femi's to lose. IMO, trying to look at it things like Broadway most likely will , he now has all the necessary support pieces in place on offense for 2016. With a full veteran big play type receiving corps, an all-American in Cohen and a very deep backfield in behind him, a big young yet very experienced offensive line, he probably goes with his most capable game experienced quarterback from the outset and that would be Raynard. However, it would not surprise me one bit if all three don't split time in the first three ball games.

I agree AGGIE one i don't think non of them have a permanent starting position.
Who played the best that day
#1 Femi #2 Raynard #3 Carter.
I was very impress with Femi passing and foot work he seem to have the most poise and his passing was accurate and solid when passes was made in the interior defense. The one unknown is he lacks real game experience.
Knowing Broadway he will give carter the node and #2 Raynard will play backup. We still have the west Virginia QB but can't expect him to come in and start. He maybe red shirted.

Femi and the freshman will force the other two to get better. Femi is certainly the best physical specimen at QB. Raynard has the most game experience(I think he is undefeated as a starter) and Carter has raw talent and moxy.

I think it will come down to who Coach feels will be less likely to throw and interception. I think all will get good reps in the fall and who throws less interceptions will carry weight. The other intangable is running ability which gives the early nod to Carter...

My issue with that Carter tend to get in a rhythm to run to much. You know what happen when you expose yourself in this league. You will get injured. I was not happy when I read how broadway was throwing Keys under the Bus about his expectation this coming fall. But as I was talking to a friend he enlighten me on how many balls Keys had dropped last year season and sometimes you need someone to challenge you to get better. So from that perspective I change my mind and give Broadway credit for challenging him to be a great receiver.

I Here you but to me Cateris a physical running back that can throw..Quick was a qb who could run but he was not a physical runner def will end up having to assign a lb to Carter and that will leave one less coverage guy.

Keyes did drop some balls that hit his hands last year. I just hope he worked on route running as well. He needs to have something other than a "jump ball" on his resume this year. While that works against about 75% of the league's CBs I'm more concerned about the 25% it did NOT work against. NCCUs all conference DB being one. Even though he is gone there may be others.

This is the catch-22 with Denzel playing basketball. The January-March period where most scholarship football players are working on skill development and strength training (if they're healthy)... Keyes has been playing basketball. I was OK with this the first 2 years. But this year, I was hoping that Keyes would focus on football. But I respect the fact that he wanted to do both. I'm rooting for him to really take a big step as a senior on the gridiron. He just has to really put in the work this summer.

I understand he probably needs a down period, but basketball ends in March. Schools end in May. Football guys dont really start getting back out there until April anyway. He's a good WR, but route running is clearly the weakest part of his game. With it I think he has a chance at shot at the next level. Does he want that shot bad enough is the question he should be asking himself and probably the reason Broadway said what he said. If Broadway didn't think he could be that good with more work he probably wouldn't have said it. When your coach doesn't mention your name is when you should start worrying.

Route running IS the weakest part of his game. Go to any BCS school and you'll find their WRs who are serious about the NFL working on route running and skill development from January-March before spring ball comes. That's who Keyes is competing against in 2017. The 6 months of offseason time that Keyes has lost over the last 3 seasons to hoops is a lot of time. I'm pretty sure that Coach Broadway and staff likely asked him to commit to football last spring, but honored the original deal to allow him to play both. That said, Keyes didn't play up to his talent level, IMO... and Broadway was well within his right to challenge him publicly to step it up in his senior season. He's got to really grind this summer to improve his skill level.

Agree.... I think he needs to step away from bball as he has a chance to play on Sunday in football. After this football season hopefully he spends the off season preparing for a pro day etc. and hangs up the bball shoes
