Well how did the signing event go? Was it a big deal or just a few folks standing around? I saw University of Michigan's bash on ESPN and it was wild. I'm sure ours was smaller but still good. So, what's the story?

A very good and enthusiastic crowd was there tail ending off the pep rally which was packed.
A great video was shown recapping the entire 2015 season that had some great moments of Broadway in the locker room addressing his team right after the Celebration Bowl.
Broadway went after better talent by targeting specific guys who they believe are real difference makers that fit particular needs heading into this year. They spent an inordinate amount of time on player evaluation.
They went after speed with physicality and smarts. These guys are all 3.0 students or much higher in the classroom. But the big thing is speed. They couldn't emphasize that enough.

I'm beginning to believe, at our level, those three things trump size in most cases. I didn't always think that way. I do now because I see that most big guys at our level are slower. Because if they had been big AND fast they would have been gobbled up by the big guys. On defense, I can get more guys to the ball with speed to negate size with more people. On offense, I just run by you. Add smart to the mix and stir. I like it.

Based on your comments it appears Coach Broadway in methodically upgrading our team in key areas and not frantically trying to fill a talent gap. Man you got to love his approach and his results. Now if we could find a basketball coach with the same talent, we would be set.

Coach Walthaw got asked about strength & conditioning and laid his program out pretty well... only one hamstring pull in 12 games for 2015. Also... each member of the football staff received a cowbell in commemoration of the championship season. It was a pretty cool time.

wish i could’ve been there! in this class, i’m most excited about tre smalls! i’m really surprised that he didn’t get picked up by an fbs school. man, a linebacker who runs a 4.5 forty is friggin’ INSANE!!
i luv me some offense, but friggin’ defense wins championships! i think this dude is gonna be one of our all time best lb’s. fits “perfectly” with our style of defense. can’t wait to see this dude play in an aggie uniform...
