welp, the ranking is good for “pride” and good for “recruiting”. other than that, its useless to us...

I have to agree with oleschool. Having a ranking almost in the top 20 in the country is a point of pride, but moving forward having a ranking above that is not to be expected. No way would those that run things and coach at the FCS level ever give a MEAC or SWAC team a ranking that undermines the system they control.

There's only three FCS schools in our market (Citadel, Richmond and Coastal ) that ranked higher than us. Hopefully that gives us a recruiting edge. Recruiting is such a crap shoot, who knows if FCS rankings has much of an impact.

Recruiting is such a crap shoot, who knows if FCS rankings has much of an impact. 1969, its never about just one thing that attracts recruits. its more so about how many positive influences "combined" that has major impact on recruits. let's just say that the ranking is one of those positive influences that goes in our column...
