Well although we have played 3 games already, our reason starts this Saturday in Hampton. Hope we get the season off to a great start.

They will be ready the Defense is already primetime not counting the UNC game the defense has only gave up one touchdown and if I can remember they had a short field on that one And the OC can now open up the play book. If we play Broadway football ? the next week games should be a good test but very winnable But each game has to be played on the field so each Saturday from now we have to be ready to play AGGIE PRIDE

I like that Angelo Keyes, Denzel Jones and Marcus Ragland are playing lights out defense so far this year!
I'm sure our defense will be up to the challenge!

Our hardest remaining games will be NSU, SCSU then BCU and NCCU. The rest of the games will not be close pending any injury issues. This MEAC season will be a challenge but we can handle it.

I just hope our offense gets going and builds confidence, especially on the line. It won't matter who the QB is, if they do not have time to operate. All of the long sweeps and reverses won't work if you can't run between the tackles against big and fast defenses like Elon, and potentially NSU and SCSU.
Like the majority I'm pleased with the defense, we just can't rely on them every game though.

also, while our run defense is definitely "lights out", our pass defense still needs improvement. we're not putting enough pressure in the pocket on passing qb's, our pass rush "must" improve in order to take pressure off of our db's and to create more turnovers. unfortunately for us, "passing" is the strength of maynor's offense.
i'm nervous about this game because its "always" hard to win on the road and hampton's strength (passing offense) is the weak link of our defense. not saying our pass defense is inadequate, just that it must improve if we're gonna shut maynor's offense down...

All will be a test! Gone are the days of overlooking opponents. Elon beat Towson this past weekend. I think it validates how good our defensive front is.

oleschoolaggie,
You are spot on our def is lights out against the run but we don't get enough pressure on the QB and rarely do we dial up a blitz...Every bluemoon we send a corner blitz but rarely do we send a linebacker

Don't even THINK about anyone else but Hampton, WCA!!!!Man whatever. Its human nature to look ahead. I will be shocked too if our Aggies do not handle their business against Hampton. We are not Celebration Bowl material if we lose to Hampton. Point Blank. End of story. Nothing will change my mind on that one. As long as we are healthy, we got this. Y'all act like the MEAC is the SEC or something. This is one of the worst rated, if not the worst rated conference in all of FCS. Hampton struggled with Kentucky State and couldn't hold on to beat Richmond once Richmond stopped sleepwalking and toying with the Pirates. Heck, our defense slowed down UNC's running attack. If we lose to Hampron, we aren't winning the MEAC and we may not even have a winning record. We have more talented players than Hampton and most of the teams in the MEAC this year. If they are focused and paying attention in practice this week, our Aggies got this.

I wish we were so good that we could look past a team, but let's be real nothing has really be proven this year. We can't go by what Hampton has done this year or what we have done. Loss of players for the season, uncertainty at QB, suspect special teams. You have to be honest in thinking we haven't played solid in all three phases of the game to look past anyone. I hope this bye week pays dividends.
