Cody tweaked a hamstring last week so we went with the true freshman Sawicki against Elon. Frescura left school and went back to the west coast.

i’m happy with the outcome of the game, especially if we didn’t sustain any new injuries. i think elon was more up for the game than we were and to me, that made a difference. obviously their plan was to contain cohen and they actually “over played” cohen, but quick made them pay.
its gonna be a different set of emotions going against hampton and we had better be ready...

Cohen put up 234 yards last year on this defense a course they going to key on him like all the teams he personally destroyed last year and the year before that like Saturday if teams what to take away Cohen we have to have other personal step up and I don't truly can say they stop Cohen I think he had 97 yards give or take most of them at the end when we needed him plus the winning touchdown

Despite facing three straight weeks of 8-9 in the box, he currently is first in the conference in rushing with 271 yards through three games for a 90.3 yard average and three TDs.

its gonna be that way for cohen "all season long". he's no longer a "secret", everybody and their grandma now knows who he is and what he is capable of. i'm not exaggerating when i say every defensive coordinator we face this season will key on cohen and form their game plan around him. hopefully we have not shown too much of our playbook yet, i’m assuming that we’ve got some “creative” ways to get cohen the ball out in space where he’s most dangerous...

I have to go back to Houston Oilers coach Bum Phillips speaking about Earl Campbell and say the same thing about Cohen "he may not be in a class of his own but it don't take long to call the roll" Listening to the Elon radio station they talked about him like he was a Heisman candidate

Elon played this game like it was a rivalry game for them, and in some ways it was.

So true OSA, I saw something that was disturbing to me in That game about the way The Kid ran the ball, I've never seen him hesitate and dance in the hole, usually here's a cut and go. Cohen is to good a back to be standing around dancing in the hole like that ! Maybe it was just me notice that but to me when a back does that he is trying to make something happen instead of getting what is available for him.

saabman, it is a rivalry game for them. I concur all the way! yep, i saw it in their "body language". when you see guys bouncing around, excessively firing up their teammates after they make a successful play, then you know that team is fired up...

In the first half, the offensive line was horrible. The kid had no where to go!
