Hate to put a damper on things, but they had a scrimmage Sat. and the offence look so bad coach call time out, and made the offence run for 20 min. The offence is way behind defense. They had nine fumbles and no TD's. The offence was with out the 5 top receivers including Keys with minor injuries. Quick has a limp and don't seem to be as fast. On Monday Raynord look good, he threw three TD's. Foster has been move to WR and the two Fr. QB"s also moved to WR. The Offence will always be behind the Defense in most cases. Now if it was the other way around then we have a problem. When you go against the same Offence day in and out the D gets to know basely what there guys or going to do, so they should be a head.

If any college offense is kicking the defense's butt or breaking even in a head-to-head after the second full week of practice, you got real problems. As good as Ohio State is offensively their defense steamrolled the offense to the point that Urban Meyer shut his scrimmage down Monday because his offensive execution was so far off. Let's see where we are by the 22nd and especially by the 29th. Then we'll have a far better feel.

Our defense will be extremely stout, probably the best one we've had since Broadway took over the job back in 2011. Loads of speed in the backfield with a big experienced line. its our "d-line" that's got me excited about our defense this year. last year we were so very young and a little "light in the butt" for a d-line, yet we held our own nonetheless. but this year, we've got all of those guys back with a ton of experience under their belts along with a full offseason of strength and conditioning to boot. plus, the transfer from rutgers will add plenty of "depth" to that group. i've always felt that success on both sides of the ball begins in the "trenches" and we should be much better in that regard defensively this year... What transfer from Rutgers?

Quick has a limp and don't seem to be as fast. wow, that's not good news. perhaps his knee is still giving him some trouble. he's not the same player if his wheels aren't working 100%...

Yes, Quick's biggest advantage is his legs keeps the defense from just defending the pass. If he's one dimensional, he's not going to be very effective for us. His passing game isn't that strong to frighten the defense and if he doesn't have the speed to allude defenders, it's going to be a long troublesome season. When is the last time we had a health and legit QB? Maynor?

Speaking from experience, knees are like backs. When you start exercising and flexing any joint really hard that has been surgically repaired, you will have a lot of soreness and stiffness stemming mostly from grown over scar tissue. The constant work will gradually break some of it up and it'll feel pretty decent on most days but there will be times when there's some hobbling and a lot of tightness. You've got to rest it after a strenuous day of hard use. Its a day-to-day thing until you gradually build the strength back but it gets easier as the weeks go by.

Had full scrimmage yesterday with REF's on the main field. Quick ran most running pays, while Raynard did much of the passing. But the star of the show was No. 81(Gabriel Caleb) that made Three TD's. He is WR that when gets the ball on passing plays, runs lake Cohen, no one came close of geting him. At the end, they let Raynard just pass the ball. The way it looks Quick will run the running plays, and Raynard would do mostly passing plays. The Offence line needs a lot of work on running plays. Cohen did not play.
