I could say something really ugly here but I am trying to be kinder this year. There's got to be someone out there that can handle this assignment. I noticed the ad didn't say anything about pay.

What about Aggie One? Clearly he knows Aggie football, the coaches, players and loves A&T. Let's draft him.

Lets get OleSchoolAggie and Aggie Monster on the Mic!
But seriously, we should give these positions to quality JOMC Students that can use the valuable experience.

Do we want professional-professional or someone that is marginal but both excited and knowledgeable about Aggie Football present and past? Remember we are not planning to be in the FCS playoffs. I'll take the latter. I'm sure that someone on this website could do a decent job. At least One knows how critical BDV faithful can be. Aggie One is an insider and knows the people and history, plus he has an organized BDV backing that will certainly be critical.

Lets get OleSchoolAggie and Aggie Monster on the Mic! That would be entertaining if nothing else!

I'm confident our AD will select announcers that will do a decent job. I don't expect ESPN level announcers, just more entertaining.

man, if i lived locally i’d definitely put in for it! i’ve always wanted to be a radio announcer but the prospects for employment and pay couldn’t touch my electronics degree, so i took a job in private industry instead. however, i’m a former wnaa-fm radio announcer, did it when i was a student (for free of course) and had my own radio show called the “traffic jam” that ran weekdays during rush hour. i loved it!! i still have cassette tape recordings of me broadcasting live from back then.
back in the early 80’s, there was a plaque hanging up in the wnaa studios that recognized each “wnaa announcer of the month” awardee and my name was one of the first to go up on that plaque, but the plaque is probably not there anymore since that was over 30 years ago. wnaa was located in price hall back then, don’t know if it still is though.
heck, if i was still living locally, i’d do it for “free” just like spencer and the guys did. put me and monster in the booth and we’d go at it like stephen “a” smith and skip bayliss from espn’s “first take” program! sure would be a lot of fun.
however, whoever they choose i hope its someone who can fulfill the job over the “long term” to become the new “aggie voice” of a&t football. i just hope that person can speak clearly and “articulately”. and of course the “knowledge” needs to be there too...

The radio crew should be paid something, don't you think so??

I believe the announcers should be paid professionals. Get someone that is trained and experienced. I know it's an added expense but I believe it will help us market our football program. It would also be great if we had several students working with them as interns.
