Klugh's brother is in the hall of fame, not his daddy.
I sincerely doubt that not getting any play homecoming had too much to do with it. That's a pretty silly reason to up and change schools.
He looked like a deer in headlights in the SC Steat game. After that he really really made dramatic improvements each week.
As for Quick, a torn ACL explains a lot. Hope he gets back to full speed.

The news about Quick is very discouraging. Taring an ACL with a full recovery after surgery usually takes a full year. With that said when he comes back he still might not be as fast and elusive as he once was, which is his strength. I'm not too sold on Quick being a pocket passer. Klugh would be very beneficial for us after hearing this news. Hopefully Foster, Raynard, and the incoming Freshman QB can come in this season and really step up, because they will definitely be needed.

Hey fellas...chill out. Players will leave your program, it happens. Now if he transferred to Crappy U in Podunk Iowa, then we might have a real problem. But he transferred to a up and coming program that "may" end up playing in a bowl game before he graduates. And in UNCC's new program, he should see some action.
I don't know if he had "Russell Wilson" type skills but he isn't playing for us now so let it go. We have QB's all lined up to take his place so let's see what the guys that stayed at A&T can do. I hope Quick heals up fast and comes back stronger than ever. I cannot wait until spring ball to see who steps up to claim the starting QB role.

Some scouting services indicated Klugh was a prospect at FS. Where will UNCC play him? Just asking

I don't think anyone is really bent out of shape because he left good standing program to go to a promising one. It's more of stating the fact that if he was a little more patient things would work out in his favor. In all honesty this could be a blessing for both institutions. He didn't want to play his role for this team and it's opening the door for others like Raynard, who I am really interested to see since he redshirted and had a full year to understand the offense.

Most come back stronger and in some cases faster from ACL surgery in a good rehabilitation program. ACL recovery time is about Six months not 12. Also if he had a total reconstruction of his knee he could recover in 12 month or more. Just the ACL surgery now days are as sample as having it scoped and the to rehabilitation its not a big deal anymore like the old days.

Wonder if Klugh is having second thoughts. They also have 2 other qb's he has to compete with. Charlotte 49ers sign former Miami QB Kevin OlsenBrad Lambert announced the signing of former four-star quarterback Kevin Olsen on Thursday afternoonCharlotte 49ers head coach Brad Lambert made the biggest offseason splash of his tenure, landing junior college quarterback Kevin Olsen on Wednesday evening. Olsen will enroll at UNC Charlotte in January for the spring semester and will have two years of eligibility remaining. “Just like every position on the team, we want to create some competition at our quarterback position,” said Lambert. “We want to get guys in here and let them compete. We’re going to see who the best guy is coming out of spring ball and heading into the summer.” Olsen, a 6-foot-3 pro-style quarterback, played his high school ball at Wayne Hills in New Jersey. He compiled nearly 3,500 passing yards while tossing 40 touchdown passes and garnering serious attention from some of the most prestigious programs around the country. ninertimes.com/2015/12/charlotte-49ers-sign-former-miami-qb-kevin-olsen/

IMO, Klugh was not going to be a serious QB candidate in Charlotte. He didn't have the fundamental background to make that kind of leap. And the Olsen kid is the younger brother of Greg Olsen, the All-Pro TE for the Carolina Panthers, and a favorite player of owner Jerry Richardson, who was a former NFL TE himself. I'll be pleasantly surprised if Hassan Klugh ever plays a down at QB for Charlotte.

wow, this guy olsen has some issues. got suspended “3 times” while at miami, then transferred to towson and immediately got dismissed again before ever taking a single snap! based on his history, klugh may not have to worry about olsen very long. we’ll just have to wait and see how long olsen can stay out of trouble in charlotte...

Well Olsen is the starter he would need to be horrible to not be. I suspect Klugh may get switched to another position. In fairness to Klugh he sort got thrown to the bulldogs in that game at SC State but I dont remember him being super elusive in the pocket or having break away speed.

They also added ECU transfer Cody Keith to the mix last month plus last years two starters are still on the team. He's at a disadvantage because the other qb's have all played in a pass happy offense similar to Charlotte's. If Klugh doesn't have a great spring I suspect he will be asked to change positions. 49ers add ECU QB transfer, Charlotte native, Cody KeithCharlotte's Brad Lambert continues to add options at quarterback. www.wccbcharlotte.com/2016/01/12/49ers-add-ecu-qb-transfer-charlotte-native-cody-keith/

His brother Greg played at the "U" as well... the only difference was there was no social media to get one's self in trouble when Greg was there. Believe me when I say that Olsen will get EVERY opportunity to win and keep that job. The stadium is named Jerry Richardson Stadium, BTW... that tie to Olsen runs pretty deep.
