Groove, we're trying to get a roving reporter out there to see what's going on. The problem is most of the practices thus far have been during the day when folks are still at work.

Is the April 12th date due to Coach Fobbs moving his practice start date back? It was reported on this site as being scheduled for the end of March, and he had said earlier that practice would start the first of March. Could it also have anything to do with his new hires (OC & DC) needing to be on board?
Does anyone have any comments about the new staff members from your observations at practice? Nothing specific. Just general.

I was told by one of the coaches that they might have a scrimmage at practice today (3:00pm).

Yes they did have a scrimmage yesterday. I was not that impressed but a few players looked good. Herb Miller looked good passing the ball and looks as if he has his speed back. Deion McNair looked really good running the ball. Big Rob, the LB from Old Miss looked good on defence. He made a hit on "Speedy" that you could here all around the practice field. Everybody was ahhhing and ohhhing. Overall the defence and offence look as if they have a lot of work to. The new transfer QB from GA. looked like crap to me. He really has a lot of work to do.

I tried to tell you guys that Herb would be the starting quarterback come the Johnson C Smith game. That new JUCO kid is not a viable option. They have moved Morgan to WR this spring, so unless Terrence Webb is the real deal, Herb doesn't have much competition right now.
