Just heard from a reliable source that we have been officially sold back into segregation by vote of the MEAC & SWAC presidents for a measly $2 million.
Apparently, it's a COMPLETED DEAL. Morgan State will be the last school to have represented the MEAC in the FCS Playoffs. And the MVC has gained another playoff slot for 2015.
SAD DAY FOR THE MEAC.

I believe I hear a moving truck off in the distance for A&T.... One that says Big South or SoCon.... there's a reason why men's tennis, golf and soccer are showing up in our program...
Stay tuned, I guess....

Unless we are willing to invest a lot more money in athletics, I don't see why we should move.

HBCU's reach in the public's eye are only second to the Ivy League and the Power 5. This game, if marketed correctly will be a big marketing tool and revenue generator for the HBCU community.

I agree now it's up to the HBCU FOOTBALL communities to buy in too the game. Now we will see if we do have true football fans or not.

Please show more evidence that this move is true for the Meac, and the Meac champ will not participate in the playoffs.

Blame it on Aggie77.
He knew about this way back during the Elon game but he didn't tell anybody.

Can't say that I'll shed any tears if we are out of the FCS playoffs. I never really cared for it. I'm only watching if A&T is playing...may tune in to see another hbcu, other than that I have no interest.

Well I'm not sure what this means for A&T, the MEAC or for HBCU athletics but it looks like it's a done deal. But we are resilient and we will survive this latest change no matter what happens. I'm sure when we pulled out of the CIAA and formed the MEAC there were folks that saw this as a bad move and the death of A&T and HBCU sports as we know it. Well we survived that move and I think we will survive this one. Situations change and organizations must make changes too. If they don't they will not survive long. We can either stand on the side wringing our hands or make some changes. Let's give this a few years before we declare this idea as a bad thing for A&T and HBCU sports.

But this really contradict why earl is on The playoff committee and even talked about hosting games in the future. I need to see the official statement.

This is in-line with Earl's future plans to leave the MEAC.

The decision to leave the MEAC has got to be bigger than an AD.
