How long will the pain last??? It depends on who you're asking - ask the seniors on the football team. They may say for eternity. For me, it is until we win an MEAC football title and have a chance to compete in the FCS playoffs. NCCU, SCSU, Howard......I could care less who beat us Saturday; it's the consequences from the loss that sting the most to me - not who beat us. I hate seeing potential (especially good Aggie potential) not get fully realized. Not to be pessimistic, but there's absolutely no guarantee we may get a golden opportunity like this again. Key players get hurt; coaches leave/retire; new coaches come in the conference and change the MEAC landscape. Ain't nothing in the future guaranteed. That's true...AND you are bringing my illness back.

The pain for me lasted all of two days. Why? There's about a $1.1 million gap between what A&T should pay in athletic scholarships ($3.4 million) vs. what we currently cover (about $2.3 million). So.... no time for pain when there's too much work to do. www.aggieboosters.com

I just realized that there may have been a significant shift based on the FY14 Athletics Report.... it just may not have been spelled out based on the way the charts were laid out. Instead of bridging the gap on scholarships, we may be at the point of starting to offset scholarship $ paid by student athletics fees. The fee increase between 2012-13 and 2013-14 was pretty massive. Offsetting frees up more funds for capital projects, equipment, academic support, etc. It also explains why the BGMM was able to fall under the Athletic Department. That's an ideal spot to be in... so the support of AAF is still greatly needed.

how long will the pain last? hail, i’m still in pain! i don’t handle losses like this very well. i can handle a loss that i don’t expect us to win or that i figure we have a 50/50 chance of winning. but games that i expect us to win, like this one? especially one as important as this one? admittedly, i don’t handle very well at all. i’m too passionate and i’m too competitive to get over this loss quickly.
heck, this is the first time i’ve logged onto my computer since last friday. had no interest in discussing what happened in durham whatsoever. truth be told, i’m a high school basketball referee and i’ve had a slew of games to officiate since the day after the loss until now. so even though i’ve been quite busy doing other things, that didn’t really stop me from logging onto my computer.
no doubt we’ve had a great run this season given where we’ve come from. but this loss “stings” like a mutha because of what was at stake! i think central wanted this game more than we did and played with more energy than we did. to me, that was the difference in the game. it was a “must win” for them if they wanted a share of the meac championship and that was their motivation. whereas it wasn’t a “must win” for us to earn a share of the championship. i just think they wanted it more than we did.
it wouldn’t bother me one iota if i didn’t discuss this game anymore for eternity. yeah, i’m still hurting. i ain’t gone lie. i’m too emotionally invested in our aggies for this not to hurt. we wasted a golden opportunity and now its gone down the drain. maybe in another few days i’ll get over it. but if i’m the coaches, i wouldn’t let my team forget about the feeling we’re experiencing right now. it would serve as great motivation to win this thing outright next season with an “undefeated” meac record...

Oleschool was teching people up left and right in that basketball tournament over the weekend. If your uniform was even remotely close to the color maroon, you can rest assured that your star player and head coach were gonna get ejected.

This loss has hurt me so bad I can't even look at our Durham local paper plus my wife is earing everything NCCU. I think once Morgan gets knocked out I will be okay. I see how those Eagles felt two years ago in BB when we beat them in the MEAC tourney. I was on suicide watch but my wife talk me off the ledge. ? How could it all go so wrong so fast. It was too much to process. The NFL are my meds. They help a little.

Central coaches made adjustments After we SMACKED then on our 1st (almost Instant) scoring drive.

Now that is hilariously trifling! actually, i can separate my frustrations with an aggie loss from the games i officiate pretty easily. however, thrilla wasn’t very far off relative to my personal life. i know of a couple of “buzzards” from afar who work on my job who i don’t know personally and they don’t know me, but i’ve seen them wear buzzard paraphernalia on occasion. ever since we loss on saturday, every time i pass them in the hallways or the cafeteria, “mentally” i’m cussing them mofo’s out in my mind big time! the last people on the face of this earth that i need to see nowadays is a “buzzard”! man, i was so “stone faced” when i left central’s stadium after the game, no one would dare say anything to me. i mean i was some kind of “pissed”!! it was written all over my face! it was a very long drive back to maryland to say the least...

The coaches could have made some better calls, sure.... but those $ allow you to recruit a different level of QB versus making a guy who was projected to be a DB (Quick) and having to develop him into a QB, making it easier to make adjustments.... and bring in a higher caliber OL.... and better academic support to ensure we continue to graduate our kids.... and, maybe to hire an extra coach or two....among other things.... I know you're still upset about the game.... but if you can't see where those extra $ gives an advantage to us in the long-term, then you're just squawking and not helping.... and I don't have much time for you....
