IMHO, when you look closely at it, our postseason dissolved on three plays: - A botched PAT vs. Coastal Carolina;
- A kickoff return given up vs. Coastal Carolina;
- A fumble on the goalline in the closing seconds of the game vs. NCCU;
...and two situations:
- Not coming ready-to-play vs. 'Da Buzzards;
- Playing with an inferiority complex vs. 'Da Dawgs in The Dome;

I agree with the MEAC only getting one team based on the fact that the MEAC does not have a team with a QB that can consistently engineer a winning drive. MEAC defenses are competitive, however, a good QB will always give solid defense a run for its money. I wxpect Morgan to loose 28-7 or so, primarily because QB play. We had a good season, I'm still salty, having watched our team not step up and put another explanation mark on Aggie Pride. Life goes on and I'm anxious to see the next recruiting class. Hopefully there is a QB that can engineer that winning drive or push Quick to be better or be a reliable 3rd or 4th quarter option. We had no alternative on yesterday.

Fact, our conference is one of the weakest in the country.

Point well taken Saabman. However your logic lends itself to also indicate that a good team can lead a not so good QB to a championship. Or stated differently, not so good QB play is not a major contrbutor to a championship team. Yet another way to try and understand your logic is to say that hbcu football teams can be successful in the face playoffs with good defense and good offensive weapons, and not so good QB play.

Do you mean QB play or management ? You don't have too have a great QB to win a Championship . But you do have too have a QB that knows his weakness and the system that he is playing in. As the saying goes " know thy self" . If your QB knows his team's system and knows how to manage it with a above average offensive line, running backs and receivers along with a dominant defence yes you can win a FCS championships.

Also to your point . I think that one of the reasons FCS HBCU have not had deep runs in the playoffs is we don't build teams for the playoffs. HBCU tend too look for star power. The coach at NDSU said it best " We look for kids that will fit my system. If they have star's fine if not fine as long as they understand their role and buy into it " .

Some else said it, but I'm liking a Heritage Bowl right now (If we were 2nd in the tie-breaker). I want to see this team again, my band again, the pageantry again. (in a Dome though like Atlanta)[this state needs a Dome].
It really was an unusual 1st place tie. NCCU partied on the field while we forgot to give our team a TRUE Co-Champion round of applause as they walked by. (it was weird. Maybe WE are still learning how to act as winning Football fans again...being so long.
If they get their rings or receive some props in Corbett we should strike up an AGGIE PRIDE and have them float off the court.

I think that stun of losing to our arch-rival made the Aggie nation temporarily unaware that we were still winners in a sense. However I do agree that our team needs a proper celebration of their accomplishments this season.
