Just think 2 years ago before the start of the season and our 1st game with Coastal the coaching staff was seriously considering switching frosh Quick to DB and letting Dorian Belcher (now at LB) serve as starting QB Kindle's back up. Kindle ended up being suspended for the first game and Belcher had academic issues and the rest is history.
Quick means so much to this team and his progress has been truly amazing. He has become an above average passer and a field general who does not turn the ball over. It is obvious that OC Bustle (very good hire--Broadway) has helped Quick in his maturation and Quick has put in the work. Quick is beating teams (w/help from his teammates) with his feet, arm, and head.
We are 10-0 if..........Quick's helmet does not come off and he is the holder on the kick in the Coastal game AND he plays against SCSU.
Quick from what I can see is a WINNER!!!!

Quick's current stat line (through 6.5 games):
Passing: 103-174 (59%), 1,206 yds, 12 TDs, 4 INTs, 135.5 passer rating Rushing: 88 carries, 455 yds (5.2 ypc), 6 TDs Receiving: 1 catch, 3 yds, 1 TD
So...1,664 yards of total offense (237.3 ypg), 19 TDs 4 INTs and a couple of fumbles lost in 7 games... if we finish out 10-2, he might be in the running for MEAC MVP.... certainly most improved...
Again, big kudos to Quick and Coach Bustle for his development improvement... watching him today was a thing of beauty...

Just read on MEACFanZone that all charges had been dropped against Quick and he was back on the A&T Football roster. Has anyone else heard this and can you confirm? If it's true I'm glad for him. That's got to be a giant burden off of him and his family. Now I hope he takes advantage of this opportunity to finish his college education and live a productive life.
If this is true, it could also have a big impact on our team this season.
