I don't know. The basketball team keeps him in good shape but it such an academic grind to do both. Props to the young man for doing it. We do have guys that do both for Track and Football so it might not be to bad.

That's what we recruited him for. I wouldn't want it to be a Russell Wilson thing, where he is denied the opportunity. As long as his grades are fine, more power to him.

Having said that, he definitely made a big jump from year 1 to year 2 in football. Interested to see how he looks on the court this winter.

Keyes bring a level of high-wire athleticism and intensity above anyone else on our basketball roster. If his grades can stay the course... let him keep living his dream and play both....

to me, the only question should be whether he can handle it academically. if so, i don’t see a problem with him playing both sports. he’s young enough physically to handle it and it’ll keep him in shape practically year round.
i hope he keeps playing both sports as long as his grades don’t drop...

I'm with you guys...academics are the key to him playing two sports. By the way, often having a packed schedule works better for some students athletes. I do hope the athletic department is providing some additional academic support for him and other athletes.

I suspect he'll drop basketball after this year. He has NFL level talent and should probably just focus on football.

I'm not worried about his grades.....don't we have African American studies at A&T? Anyway - if he has a marginal basketball year, it will likely be his last. However, he does give maximum effort out on the court. Who's to say he cannot make a big leap in his 2nd year in basketball as well.....

Let the kid play and do what he feels is best for him. Do not put undo pressure on the kid having to pick between two sports that he love's. If his academics are in order let him enjoy his time in college. IF HE LIKES IT I LOVE IT....LOL

He should be better in basketball too. He always brought a spark in with him whenever he came in the game.

Keyes is catching passes with db's hanging all on him. I'm convinced he'll probably drop basketball. He definitely has nfl potential.
