i think the reason we haven't seen cartwright on an extended basis is because our last 2 games have been very close games and i'm pretty certain the coaches didn't wanna risk throwing a true freshman to the wolves under those circumstances. cartwright did see some action against aa&m but we had a big lead and he had to run behind the second string o-line. but he needs more touches.
when cohen scared me and limped out of the elon game, the coaches put cartwright in the game for about 3 or 4 snaps and i'm glad they didn't call his number because he was still cold and probably wasn't ready for the intensity of that game. but i'm pretty sure cartwright will see some extended action against chowan this weekend, which is why i like having at least one "cream puff" on our schedule so that our freshmen and backups may get some extended playing time without jeopardizing our ability to win the game.
gotta remember, the coaches brought cohen along slowly last year too when he was a true freshman. so i think we'll see a lot more of cartwright in the coming weeks. he just needs to get his feet wet a little more before we throw him to the wolves...

Props to the Cohen and that offensive line. Plus let give some credit to the WR who are blocking downfield to get those long TD run. Hey we might have to use Cohen at DB also.
Cohen got to get at least 150 yds this week since Herb Walker has put up 240 and 181 yds the last two weeks.
Hopfully Cohen is not even playing long against Chowan. We will need him against Howard and SCSU since they will both stack the line.

Cohen is averaging about 17 carries per game, getting 10 yards per carry. (3 games, 53 carries, 528 yards)

Cohen is averaging about 17 carries per game, getting 10 yards per carry. (3 games, 53 carries, 528 yards) his yards per carry is flat out "freakish"! as long as he keeps breaking those long runs, he's always gonna have an "off the charts" yards per carry average. if i remember correctly, i believe he had a 9 yards plus per carry average in high school. i think we stole this guy! somehow he didn't get noticed by the big schools coming out of high school. oh well, its their lost and our gain...

I believe Cohen is in for a record breaking year. "Funk Master Most Supreme....Big Pimping" Broadway has stated proudly in the past, "Everywhere I have been da head coach there has been a record breaking RB." NCCU, Grambling, now it looks like NC A&T. This is sumthin that he takes great pride in. So...........let's look for a record breaking year from Cohen, if he can stay healthy!!!
