For there end they better hope that it is close.
Since I was at both games in Orlando and CCU as well. I notice defensively. We sometimes do not handle the no huddle very well. There was even times in the Alabama A&M game they was able to move the ball at ease you can tell CCU saw that on tape. It just a observation.

A77, Hey man, I agree our AD needs to also focus his energy on making sure more Aggies come to all the home games. However, I've been to some away games at non-HBCU institutions. We showed up big at App St. We showed up big at CCU 2 years back. We showed up big at Elon years prior. Yes, it is incumbent upon us to fill our own stadium, but it bothers me the paucity of numbers Elon brought to Aggie Stadium last year. Elon was 1-1 when we played them last year....they had not yet known how bad their team was. What I'd be curious to know is how well non-HBCU teams we play travel to other stadiums. If Elon's travel to other schools is as lame as it is to Aggie Stadium, then we all need to squash this....but if they travelled well to App St, WCU or other schools in the SoCon (and now the CAA), then something's wrong. WE ARE THEIR CLOSEST FCS OPPONENT. Elon has a very small fan base. They don't travel in large numbers anywhere. In fact only a handful of FCS PWC's travel in large numbers regardless of opponent. As for CCU they only averaged 7,000 fans per game in home attendance last season. If they don't turn out in large numbers for their own home games what makes us think they should bring a few thousand to Aggie Stadium?

We DID seem to be slow to even be ready for their snap at times.

this elon game scares me a little. as 77 pointed out, last year after we loss a heartbreaker to scsu, we followed that game with a terrible showing at hampton. heartbreaking losses to highly praised teams like scsu and ccu can kinda drain guys psychologically because they put everything they had on the line to win those games but had it slip away. so yes, it definitely will be interesting to see how our guys come out mentally against elon...

You guys maybe right we need to b scared so we can b prepared but we are such a better teAm than last year I feel very good about our chances
Last year when we beat appl and elon I was not confident because we let both those teams come back and almost win the game I don't have that feeling anymore in ccu I left very confident we have a good team even ccu coach said they was very lucky to win.

I've enjoyed discussion with 'thrilla for a number of years! . Always enjoy his insight, just like I enjoy the series with the Aggies. I'm looking forward to a hard fought game this weekend. Our new head coach is breathing life back into the program from the 'Lembo' era. I've been extremely impressed with the turnaround over there in Greensboro. You guys have darn good coach, and don't need me to point that out to agree. Safe travels for those of you heading to Elon this weekend, and here's to a hard fought injury free game! EP

Aggies coach wants to see next steps; Date with Elon comes this weekend By Adam Smith / Times-News Published: Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at 12:51 AM. GREENSBORO — While appreciating the climb the North Carolina A&T football team has generated during his time in charge, coach Rod Broadway can’t help but want more upward mobility. Like the type of potential step that instead became a disappointing stumble during the weekend. The Aggies led Coastal Carolina, an established, perennial Football Championship Subdivision playoff participant, in the fourth quarter before that upset opportunity crumbled into a 31-30 loss. Okay let's get focused...this is not about Elon this weekend. It's about us doing what we are capable of doing. I'm sure the A&T coaching staff will have our team ready this Saturday. They have film from two games to review and a week to fix some of the issues you guys have mentioned. The only thing we have to do is make sure our fans show up! Let's show up in our "Aggie Gold" tee shirts and hats and take over the game, the halftime and the stadium. Let's leave no doubt who's the better team this weekend.

We won't be special if they allow Quick throw the ball 32 times per game. We have to focus on his strengths. Quick is unbelievable.....WHEN HE'S RUNNING!!!! We cannot have him throwing the ball 32 times and expect to win. Screens, quick outs/ins, quick slants, the occasional bomb.......that's it. No intricate passing routes. The feet of Quick and Cohen should be the foundation from which everything else we do revolves around.
The stats don't lie: 13 of 32, 0 TD, 2 INTs......BUT 3 TD RUNS!!!! Stick with what Quick does best!!!!
One final note from the last game - we were 8 out of 18 in 3rd down completions (44%) --- that's pretty daggone good, especially when it came against a top 5 FCS opponent. When you're converting 3rd downs, you keep the ball in your hands and keep drives going. Hopefully we can keep 3rd down conversion rates at 40% for the rest of the year. That would bode well for all future contests....
