Even though Quick may not be the most accurate passer he still must throw the ball to open up the Aggies lethal running game. I think Quick is fine, he just need some more confidence. He is managing the game well and not turning the ball over.

Work on our FG's!! * I wondered if we could play from behind...come back on a team. We can. * I had not seen us block a Big FG since that NCCU game in Aggie Stadium. * That Brother who pass-rushed and jumped for that interception was beautiful! * Did I read that we are rolling with umpteen' Freshmen on the team?
* The Aggie Nation was in fine form. That Stadium was right on top of the players ( like @ NCCU). The players would give the crowd a head nod before sitting down and taking a blow.
* Jay Walker (ESPN Color Announcer for the HBCU games) Thrilla, and'77 were talking shop. ( I didnt bring up His Last Min. Homecoming TD Run against us when He was at Howard).
*Elon has a nice Campus.
*Elon's band gave the B&GMM a standing Ovation while the machine walked by (Movie 'Glory' scene ['the Mass 54th going to the front line"] style after its show. It was a good look.
*Aggie Nation, think back, and look at us now. We are trending Up!

* The Refs made a few calls. They also warned the Band at a crucial time. That's ok. We must keep playing smart Football.

After seeing K. Quick in person for the first time this year, I agree with OSA. Quick is not as bad as many make him out to be. Maybe 50% is his fault with a bad threw to high or to low. Overall he makes good decisions. I'm my mind clearly the receivers are also an issue. None of them cut cleanly on the outs or ins patterns, and on the cuts they just stop. On the fly patterns I have yet to see a receiver not slow down then speed up. If the fly is called, GO, an let’s see what happens. But don't slow down. Quick doesn't know where the receivers are going to be because they run such poor patterns. That's why some time the pass is high and sometimes it low. It's obvious to me that he's throwing to a spot, especially on those quick reads plays. Then there are occasions were the receiver and Quick read the defense differently. There were a couple time when the receiver read slant and Quick threw the out, because of blitz or DB position. That #4 for Elon was a discipline route runner and always protected the ball from the defender either by positioning is body between the defender and the ball or by running the defender back then turning sharply on the curl back, but he always came back for the back for the ball. You could see the he and the QB where on the same page with position, placement and timing. I don’t see that with us. I don't think the issue is talent with Quick, I think it's game experience, after all he has only 5 collegiate starts. I also think our bread and butter (the running game) may be preventing the development of the passing game. Those of you that go to practice; how much repetitively work do we do on passing fundamentals like route running, timing, etc. verse running blocking or running plays in general? You may have a good point about the receivers running poor routes. Look who our WR receiver coach is: Chip Hester
