We probably are in the minority on this money grab, but let's not make this into any more than that. This is not a competitive matchup of equals no matter how you slice it. Though the final score may be more respectable than the 80 they dropped on ODU, but it won't be because they can't or out of respect, but because of pity, and that's when you know . . .

This is going be a good "measuring stick" game for us. The only difference between us and the big schools is depth. Coach Broadway's goal has always been to have quality depth (particularly on the OL and DL) and speed at the skill positions. By next season our overall depth should be at least as good, if not better than SCSU in recent years. I say that the Aggies will be respectable in this game. A victory would be highly unlikely...but if we can keep it close and the ball bounces the right way, who knows what could happen.

as much as i hate these beatdown games, we need to play at least one beatdown game every year. i mean, the money is just too good to pass up and we completely missed the boat on that money while we were on apr restrictions. meanwhile, everybody else in the meac was cleaning up big time making hundreds of thousands of dollars off of these games.
i think the only meac school that doesn’t play a money game every season is hampton and that’s because hampton already has deep pockets. yet, howard has even deeper pockets than hampton and even they play beatdown games.
personally, i feel “honored” to play unc. i mean, we’re talking bout the state’s premier flagship program! and i’m sure we’re the first hbcu “ever” to play them in football. we have several coaches on our staff (including coach broadway) who have extensive experience coaching at the bcs level. so i feel confident that our coaching staff will do a good job preparing our kids for unc. and i’m pretty sure our players are very anxious to play that game and it will definitely help our recruiting.
born and raised in north carolina, i’ve always been a huge tarheel fan and still am. so much so, that there’s only one school in the entire country that i’d pull for over unc and that’s of course is our aggies. when we play unc in football, it’ll be the first time ever in my life that i hope unc loses...

I don't know what we make when we play Coastal Carolina at Myrtle Beach or Appalachian in Boone but I would hope we're making a lot more playing UNC. Making maximum money off of this game is my number #1 objective. If that's not the case then I'm with numberonebrave. I'm not so delusional that I'm planning a victory party after that game but I do hope we will put that $300,000 to good use.

I don't mind this game at all. We don't need it but that cash will help in 2015. And it will be a great recruiting tool for us. Hopefully we are playing well into Dec. this year and have a top 15 FCS team going to Chapel Hill.

The only thing we can hope for at this point is far the AGGIES to keep the game respectful and bring home that fat check!

I am 100% with Oleschooleaggie's first post and Aggie E is dead on. Not that I think this is going to be an extremely close game but I think we will show up and look like a really good FCS team.
I watched the game were SC State and USC were basically even at the half - I think score was 10 - 7. Its really not about the 11 guys that start on either side of the field for the FCS or the FBS team. Its about the guys you sub in as no one except the QB plays every play (off). In the second half USC started rotating lineman and SC State's starters did not have fresh legs and their second tier guys could not match the rotation of USC's starters / second tier guys and that's why USC pulled away mid-way through the 3rd QTR. Many of commetators said USC just woke up when they begin to pull away; I totaley disargee they were awake the entire time . There depth allowed them to dominate at that poinnt.
Broadway knows this as you here in all his interviews this year..... all he talks about is quality depth....

I wonder if field turf is Broadway's top priority.

I wonder if field turf is Broadway's top priority. it might be relative to his practice field. i've heard him complain about the poor conditions of the practice field late in the season after it has taken a pretty good beating. with field turf in aggie stadium, he could practice in the stadium without worrying about tearing up his practice field...

I'd like to see us get to a point where our out of conference schedule looks like UNC, NC State and WSSU. All would big payday games....that is if WSSU remains relevant without Maynor.
