Gentlemen, We are in the dead period of summer...is it possible for the residents of Greensboro to get an interview with some of the coaches. Interviews with the O-coordinator or even the tennis coach that had a great recruiting class.

Aggie One and 'Thrilla will absolutely have interviews with Coach Broadway and his staff during Fall Camp. Just give them a few more weeks once camp begins and they will have those items on the main website and the forum.

Here's an idea, let's go steal that guy at NCCU that does all of their sports promotions. I think the Blue Death Valley "staff" interviews are fine but shouldn't we have someone on staff pumping out interviews, stories and other antidotes on the football team 24/7? That's how you create buzz...information about the players, coaches, schedule, critical games, stadium changes, cheerleaders etc. And buzz puts butts in the seats. In fact, since Coastal Carolina is our first home game and they will not bring two carloads of fans to Aggie Stadium, we really need to be out promoting this game. It's critical to fill up our stadium in the first game...both teams "should" be undefeated, the weather "should" be nice and it's been almost 12 months since our last game. There should be an article and YouTube video on that game coming out everyday!

Brian Holloway does have an expanded staff in his SID office. You should be seeing interviews and stuff on ncataggies.com relatively soon as well. Between this and BDV, we will be quite informed on Aggie Athletics this school year.

Hey '69,
Our Marketing Department for Athletics is also growing and we have a dedicated team in charge of Athletic Promotions that will report to Associate AD for Marketing. I'm just not sure of their exact title but I am assured that we will have a nice promotion for the home opener.
CCU will be a top ten team in the polls when kickoff rolls around so expect Athletics to put their best foot forward.

Here's an idea, let's go steal that guy at NCCU that does all of their sports promotions. man, i have as much "disdain" for nccu athletics as any aggie on the planet. yet, i'm a firm believer in giving credit where credit is due. that being stated, i am absolutely "envious" of nccu's athletic promotions and broadcasting productions. they run circles around us and everybody else in the meac except maybe norfolk and bcu. i don't know what it would take for our folk to match or exceed nccu, but i sure wish we'd do it. from top to bottom, nccu's athletics promotions and broadcasting is top notch and has been top notch for many, many years. way back in the day of the aggie/eagle classic at carter/finley stadium, aggies literally had to go to nccu's website at that time for advanced tickets and aggie/eagle classic details. i mean, nccu was so far ahead of us at that time in terms of internet technologies and athletics promotions that we had to go to their website to find out where the a&t headquarters hotel for the aggie/eagle classic was located. our website "at that time" was very inept and only had limited information. in fact, our website was so "inept" at that time that we had a "link" to nccu's website for further information on the aggie/eagle classic. but as westcoast correctly explained, we are much better now and seems to be on the upward trend. however, we still have a very long way to go to match or exceed nccu. both nsu and bcu do a very nice job with their athletics promotions too and are probably near or on the same level as nccu. nccu's staff is very "professional", especially their broadcast announcers. i just wish we were as good or better. now, let me go and wash my mouth out...

In all fairness to our in-house marketing operation, NCCU contracts out much of their SID operations to a local media company in the Triangle that does all their broadcasts, marketing, videos, and radio programs. That is a fairly expensive proposition so you have to weigh your return on your investment by looking at increases in attendance levels, the level of alumni giving, ticket sales, more corporate sponsorships, etc.
Is that type of additional costs justifiable if you comparing the bottom lines of athletic program revenue streams between A&T and NCCU? No question, NCCU presentations are usually slick and look good but the question that has to be answered is who is getting the largest return on their financial investment at the end of the day?

IMHO, BCU's SID is the best in the MEAC.

IMHO, BCU's SID is the best in the MEAC. bcu and their "cateye network" produces a very professional coach's television show for coach jenkins that comes on a regional sports network in florida. during football season, i have it programmed to record every week on my dvr. so you're right, bcu's sid could possibly be the best in the meac. clearly they rival what central is doing, but so does norfolk as well...
