I was working in Orlando this week and it was typical Florida weather. Hot and muggy followed by thunderstorms and more even more muggy. While there I popped out of the hotel mid-day to see if I could tolerate the heat. I must admit, it wasn't too bad. Not sure what it will be like the weekend of the SWAC/MEAC Challenge but hopefully it will be "bearable." Haven't decided yet if I'm going but the closer we get to the date, the more I'm thinking about it. I'll keep my eyes on the weather channel and let you know if anything changes for me or the Orlando weather.

Hey numberonebrave...I will not miss the opening show of the B&G Marching Machine! In fact, they will perform in Charlotte on August 23...the week before the Orlando game! And that performance is at 7:00 pm in Charlotte not in the mid-day heat in Orlando. Plus, band camp starts on July 27th so I plan to go to Greensboro over the next few weeks to watch them prepare for those performances.
I haven't totally ruled out going to Orlando yet...I'll keep you posted.

1969, you are right. It is always hot and muggy in Orlando during the summer months, but it is bearable. I was stationed (Air Force) in Orlando for 4 years, albeit it was from 1966 to 1970 but I know the weather has not change that much, if at all. I am trying to get my funds right so I can be there for this game. I have not been back to Orlando since 1970 so I am excited about returning there because Disney World was not open when I left there. I truly believe that our team and our band will show up and show out and I want to be there when they show out. I hope to see all of you there.
